Floating Pool — Local services in New York

The pool is very nice. It's nicely maintained. It's clean my issue. The lack of supervision that the children had there, the lack of attentiveness of the lifeguards to the point where the kids were just running amuck around the deck. They was just splashing everywhere and granted, That's what you're supposed to do in the pool. But if you see a section where a family is just trying to Wade the children should not be over there. Trying to just like jump in or splash fighting or just running amok. In my opinion, children need to be supervised by their parents. They should not be allowed to come to the pool alone if they don't know how to act. I don't know if it was the time of day I went. I went for the 4:00 session. Maybe I should have went for the morning session but I wound up leaving after an hour. It was so unruly it was bad. The pool is four feet and i almost got kicked in the head by someone jumping in over me. There was a little girl there trying to swim and got caught in the middle of the older kids play fighting in the water. It was a mess. And there's only one pool. There's no separate pool for the...

Overall experience would’ve been three, but I am docking a star because of a few things:

There’s no communication when the staff is not opening on time. Google says the pool opens at 11 AM. I didn’t get inside till about 12:15. The phone number listed does not work so don’t bother calling it

When they opened late, they closed early so instead of being closed at 3 or 4 o’clock, They actually closed the pool at 2:45. Which has people rushing to get as much time as they can for the opening session

The kids do not listen to the lifeguards or the staff when it comes to bellyflopping or dunking or any of the Sort. Yeah, I believe it’s up to the parents to discipline their kids, but most of these kids did not come with their parents.

I do love coming to the floating Lady for the experience and just for memories of being there as a kid. But if you decide that you want to go, don’t go to the later sessions get there for the opening session. Yeah, you’ll be waiting for an hour, but you’ll be in...

Extremely nice experience! Overall I have to give five stars not just to the location but to the staff here. I felt safe but more than that I felt welcome! The staff was very pleasant! A nice young lady with two braided ponytails assisted my daughter and I as we were out of state guests. Everyone in addition to her was very kind as well. Lunch was even more of a plus! It was free, tasty and healthy. The pool was clean as were the bathrooms and locker rooms. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice free outing for people of all ages. Make sure you have a padlock for your locker, proper swim attire or you won’t be admitted. You must also prohibit from any sort of photography it’s against New York State laws. So be sure to lock your cell phone or camera up in your locker. Only gripes I have is the pool isn’t for an avid swimmer it is only 4 feet and there’s virtually no place to park.
