J&A beauty salon — Local services in New York

In all honesty, the only thing they are good for here is dying hair and having it straighten to perfection. However, I will NEVER suggest ANYONE to ever cut their hair at this place. Maybe if the employees weren’t too concerned about gossiping over the phone and simply just look at the reference picture of how I wanted my bangs to look, I wouldn’t have to be walking around with hair that looks like a 2 year old cut it. I still can’t understand how it took 2 employees to try and cut my bangs properly, and still couldn’t do it right. Stick to what your good at please because cutting hair isn’t one of them. I STILL can’t believe they tried acting like they had a clue of what they were doing when really they didn’t . Spent $150...

I have been coming here for almost 2 years because it would be close to home and within my budget. However, it seems like every time I come, the prices keep going up. I don't know if it's because I don't speak Spanish or because I pay Zelle and not cash. Whatever it is, I shouldn't be charged $50 for a simple bang trim and wash-and-set. I didn't even ask for my edges to be trimmed, or for my hair to be layered! Bangs only. For a little salon in the Bronx, you think they'd be a little humble with their prices. A very nice salon I used to go to on the Upper East Side charges these same prices with much better results!! I'll be going back there, it seems like the commute really...
