First time here and it was horrible! Took almost 3 hours just to get checked in! It’s first come first serve so don’t bother if you have appointment! Btw all the employees are late to work...the white man at the window lazy as hell!. It’s hard hearing them at the window and them hearing you! They do not assign doors or give you any information! Make sure to dress warm because it’s Freezing in there! Make sure to turn on Navy street instead of Craneway... a little advice if you have a closed trailer and your making a delivery you can park your trailer right away between doors 1 - 5 to save you a spot and time.... (wish I knew that right away when I got there) then unhook and go check in!!!!! Then you have to wait with your paperwork in a yellow cage till one of the forklift drivers notice you and then wait till they are done! Btw they take at 9 to 930am! You can pretty much do what you want you can walk up to your trailer to check how much they unloaded which I think it’s unsafe! Took me 6+ hours here! Very unorganized place.... hope I don’t have to come here...

11/18/24 I picked up a load on a flatbed here today and it was a very pleasant experience. The check-in process took a little longer than I would have liked, but the people I dealt with were all courteous and respectful and seemed to be doing their best to get me taken care of quickly. The process will go quicker if you take an extra minute and write down all the info required, pick up number, truck number, color of truck, company name, your cell phone number, etc and hand it to whoever is helping you at the check-in window.

The loading process went smoothly as well. You go back and wait in your truck and when the loader is ready for you, he will call you and have you meet him at the entrance gate and then he directs you where to park for loading. He loaded quickly and efficiently.

I did notice several drivers who were rude, disrespectful and spoke very harshly with the people at the check-in window. I believe these are likely the same drivers who leave negative reviews about this place. If you want to be treated with courtesy and respect, you need to...

Flatbed packing up or delivering:

Take a right on Navy street. Go to the end of it, turn around and come back to park diagonally on the left side facing towards Port Street.

Walk to the south East corner of yard and go trough door that says “shipping and receiving “ take an immediate left after entering. The first window will be receiving. The next two pickup.

Have a load number or bol. (Does not have to be printed. On phone it’s ok)

Go back to your truck. Wait for forklift to come grab you.

If you are delivering, same process (stop at window 1 for delivery). Untarp before if possible. You are driving a quarter mile to half a mile after that. If necessary leave some securement on the load.

My personal experience: checked in at 8am. Was out by 9:30. (6 driver’s a head of...

Flatbed picking up. Make u-turn at the end of Navy, then park on the angle parking. Checkin at the office, SE corner of the building, then turn left, window #2. Really difficult to hear office worker. If you don't speak English well your conversation will be very long )) Perhabs it's better to have all info on the paper and give worker this paper. They need pu#, destination, truck # and color, company name (on truck door), your phone number. Then come back and wait in the truck. Huge forklift will come to escort you towards loading area. Very fast loading, after 2pm only 4 trucks on parking and 2 drivers at the office. Got company 2.45pm, left 5pm. Probably you can use angle parking as overnight place. Not too much traffic after 3pm.

You have to park on navy st. I had a dryvan and checked in at 07:45 and they finished Otago g me at 10:30. So it wasn't too bad. But then again maybe it's because I got lucky that it didn't take them 6hrs to load me like everyone says. But yes the young black skinny girl at the front desk does have an attitude as if she is working for free. She acted like she don't want to be there, or next time I'll bring her somed coffee so she will be more cheerful and friendly. Other then that this place needs to have a better manager so that he/she will have the place run better and more efficient.

As it was said make a right turn from port st on navy st and then on viking st if you drive dry van. If you see parking spot on viking then take it and walk to the office at the corner of viking and craneway. Office ladies are ok. If no spot available loop around and find a spot on navy. Parking to the dock 1-5 for dry van is really tough. Limited space and parked trucks all over. Once u parked unhook the trailer. Loading guy works pretty fast. If it's busy be ready spend there 4-5 hours. I was lucky got in at 10am and out at 12.15pm.
