First time here and it was horrible! Took almost 3 hours just to get checked in! It’s first come first serve so don’t bother if you have appointment! Btw all the employees are late to work...the white man at the window lazy as hell!. It’s hard hearing them at the window and them hearing you! They do not assign doors or give you any information! Make sure to dress warm because it’s Freezing in there! Make sure to turn on Navy street instead of Craneway... a little advice if you have a closed trailer and your making a delivery you can park your trailer right away between doors 1 - 5 to save you a spot and time.... (wish I knew that right away when I got there) then unhook and go check in!!!!! Then you have to wait with your paperwork in a yellow cage till one of the forklift drivers notice you and then wait till they are done! Btw they take at 9 to 930am! You can pretty much do what you want you can walk up to your trailer to check how much they unloaded which I think it’s unsafe! Took me 6+ hours here! Very unorganized place.... hope I don’t have to come here...
Read more11/18/24 I picked up a load on a flatbed here today and it was a very pleasant experience. The check-in process took a little longer than I would have liked, but the people I dealt with were all courteous and respectful and seemed to be doing their best to get me taken care of quickly. The process will go quicker if you take an extra minute and write down all the info required, pick up number, truck number, color of truck, company name, your cell phone number, etc and hand it to whoever is helping you at the check-in window.
The loading process went smoothly as well. You go back and wait in your truck and when the loader is ready for you, he will call you and have you meet him at the entrance gate and then he directs you where to park for loading. He loaded quickly and efficiently.
I did notice several drivers who were rude, disrespectful and spoke very harshly with the people at the check-in window. I believe these are likely the same drivers who leave negative reviews about this place. If you want to be treated with courtesy and respect, you need to...

Take a right on Navy street. Go to the end of it, turn around and come back to park diagonally on the left side facing towards Port Street.
Walk to the south East corner of yard and go trough door that says “shipping and receiving “ take an immediate left after entering. The first window will be receiving. The next two pickup.
Have a load number or bol. (Does not have to be printed. On phone it’s ok)
Go back to your truck. Wait for forklift to come grab you.
If you are delivering, same process (stop at window 1 for delivery). Untarp before if possible. You are driving a quarter mile to half a mile after that. If necessary leave some securement on the load.
My personal experience: checked in at 8am. Was out by 9:30. (6 driver’s a head of...
