If you’ve never experienced a summer concert at the Maudslay Arts Center in Newburyport then put this on your must do list. Our first visit was this Sunday afternoon to watch Bobby Keys make his guitar come alive and the audience tap their feet to his impressive interpretations of relatable tunes. What’s better than getting lost in excellent live music, relaxing outside on the patio in an intimate and casual setting? Raining? No problem, the concert moves inside. We went to see The Mystix. This is a nice outdoor BYOB venue with a huge barn as backup for inclement nights. Volunteers cook amazing deserts for sale at intermission. They have several more summer concerts coming up. Bring bug spray...
