I visited the bookstore over the weekend and was appalled by the extremely rude employee who yelled at my daughter twice about keeping her mask above her nose. The first time my daughter had just taken off a sweatshirt she was trying on so understandably the mask fell down a little bit. The second time she yelled at me to tell my daughter to keep her mask on because she had “students she had to watch out for.” When I looked at my daughter, her mask was on. However, the employee told me no she saw her pulling away the mask from her mouth a bit.
I wanted to leave after the second accusation, but it’s been my daughters dream to visit BC and buy a sweatshirt there. I would totally avoid this bookstore and buy merchandise online. The employee shouldn’t work in a store if she is so afraid of the air.

The store must sell textbooks and BC branded stuff. It does not have much floor space geared for a general reader, nor a newsstand. Differs significantly in this way from many other campus stores whether a Follett's or Barnes and Noble campus division store or independent bookstore. I had arrived for a meeting a bit early so strolled into store for 5 minutes. It's not often I leave a bookstore empty handed. Read moreI had a terrible experience with purchasing a hood for my doctoral regalia over the phone. First, the staff overpromise on the delivery speed. I was told that it will take 2-3 weeks but it took about 5-6 weeks. Second, the hood I received was different from what I ordered (I ordered shield style while they shipped me a traditional style). Fortunately, they did replace another hood for me, which took another 5-6 weeks to arrive. But the quality of the new shield-style hood is not close to what is advertised on website.
