Beware of their “warranties”.. I bought these moonlight scotch broom bushes in April 2025. They were dying by June 2025. When I called to discuss the warranty, they told me not to bring the plants in.. they said take pictures and they would credit me for new shrubs. When I got there, I kindly told the woman working at the cash register that I was requesting a credit (they dont do refunds per the phone call) to replace these shrubs. She immediately starting coming up with excuses as to why its my fault they die.. she suggested the one near my drain was getting too much water (doesnt make sense.. the other one is no where near a drain and was even more brown) then she questioned where I had them planted, if it was appropriate light which i assured her i did. She then requested another associate come over to determine whether these plans were actually dead (seriously!? They are FRIED).. the male associate comes over and confirms one is dead but is trying to convince me the other one is still alive (he said it was molting!?! It doesnt make any sense; these plants dont lose all leaves and flowers in June) because of the small amount of green left on the flowerless/leafless yellow/brown branches. I had to firmly assure him these bushes are dead before they even considered crediting me for the other plant. He said he “wasnt trying to fight” while lying to my face and insulting my intelligence.. he then walked away from me and told the female associate (old heavier set woman with grey hair and glasses) to give me the credit for the plants (i am truly perplexed the plants in the pictures where even up for debate). When i found new shrubs and proceeded to the register old heavier set woman gave me a cold arrogant attitude while checking out. I would recommend you find another place to get your plants.. this place just wants your money. I have spent several thousand dollars on plants here but this was the first time i needed to use their “warranty”. I really wanted to love this place; such a disappointment!
I included the two pictures of my plants and an example of what they should look like for reference to anyone questioning the legitimacy of...
Read moreThis is our favorite nursery in the area, hands down. When we first moved to the area back in 2014, we wanted to completely redo our landscaping. At one point, we were visiting multiple nurseries every weekend in search of specific shrubs and to compare prices. While Mostardi is not the cheapest, all of their shrubs, trees, and flowers are incredibly healthy. We love the robust selection they offer, especially with some of our favorite trees and shrubs, including crepe myrtles, roses, and hydrangeas. Most importantly, they have the best customer service of all local nurseries. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help. We love that they almost always approach us first, asking if we need any help. And be sure to hold onto your receipt because they really do stand by their guarantee. Though this is not the closest nursery to us, this is the first place we'll go to whenever we get the itch to plant something new...
   Read moreTruly an excellent nursery.
Although pricier than some of the other local nurseries / garden supply stores, at Mostardi you actually pay for what you get.
As a former gardener / nursery employee, believe me when I say that the staff here is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. If you ever need advice on planting, amending soil, or even if you have questions about what might be appropriate in your home garden, the staff consistently go out of their way to help. Additionally, they offer a much more interesting variety of plants, with an especially wide offering of perennials, and they are...
