Ginny’s is a great local place to enjoy a treat and drink on the go. The original founders had a vision to bring a fun place to the community in memory of their mother. They employed young community members getting their feet wet in the industry where they loved to get to know the locals and be a part of the Ginny’s tradition. They were trained by the owners but were still teenagers who can make mistakes. The problem isn’t the employees, it’s how they were treated when new ownership took over. The young staff trained the new staff! In fact on my visit, my daughter was asked how to use the register (as she was a customer). No new expectations were given, no new rules, no warnings, etc. Then without notice, these veteran employees (some with over 2 yrs experience) were taken off the schedule. “As they figure things out”. No direct communication- and just left the staff hanging for weeks. Very unprofessional behavior if you ask me. And a few bad reviews are justified. I too didn’t like waiting 11 minutes for my drink while Mr chatty pants talked to me about feeding horses. I came to a drive thru to get a beverage and go. I miss the cute staff. I’ll chose elsewhere even though I love the tradition of Ginny’s. I really wish the new ownership thought more...
Read moreI am giving this review to right a terrible wrong that has taken place. Me and my wife knew the old owners by name, and they are wonderful people! We have had the chance to meet the new owners which are also wonderful people! They had to make changes and let teenage staff go, who were taking advantage, and didn’t provide good customer service. Then those teenagers left bad reviews that had nothing to do with the food, service, or the wonderful people who own Ginny’s now! How sad that this allowed in the world we live in. I am 55 with lots of experience. I hope you will take my word over some bad attitude teenagers who are trying to ruin someone’s business, rather than take responsibility about their lacking work ethic. These are good people, who deserve a LOT of local support! I hope you all will join me in welcoming the new owners of “Ginny’s”, by continuing to buy your mixed soda drinks, and wonderful food that they offers from these good people! I ask that you put little to no stock in bad reviews left by teenage employees who didn’t get their way because of their terrible work ethic! Enough said, good people, good food,...
Read moreWe really wanted to like this place! We love supporting a local company but the last few times we have come here, the drinks tasted awful. My husband had to keep going back to the counter to ask for more flavoring or syrup of whatever they put in. Then, we have tried going thru the drivethru, waited and the window and both times we just see the teenage workers all on their phones at the break table area. We sat there for a few minutes thinking oh they’ll see us we don’t want to be rude. Still nothing… so we drove off. This place has amazing potential but they need to get better at making their drinks correctly with flavoring if they don’t want to lose customers to swig, and also to make sure that your workers are actually working rather then being in...
