We've been coming to GVL for a number of years, and have always enjoyed our time there. Having rented various cabins on the property, our favorites have been the little red cabins on Roy Lake. The cabins are well appointed and sit right on the shore, with a dock to park your boat or fish off of. We looked forward to spending another summer (2023), at the cabins again until we found out about the price increase. Due to a new software package GVL uses, which allows GVL to price according to demand, the cabins we've rented over the past years went from $600/night in 2022 to $1000 for 2023, which is outrageous given the condition of the cabins and grounds surrounding the cabins and the limited to no service supplied by GVL after covid hit. The cabins are laid out nicely but are in need of deep cleaning, and the appliances need to be replaced. Outside the cabins, the lake weeds have taken over which renders the beachfront useless other than the dock.
