Pretty terrible customer experience. Perhaps they ship bikes well but beware if you’re trying to buy any of their other products. I purchased a DIY harness from them and had issue after issue.
I was aware of their published lead times so I had no expectation to get my parts quick; however, after finally getting a shipment notification of my order being shipped, I checked the notification for about a week and it was still on “label printed status”.
I emailed them and they mentioned someone forgot to ship it out. This was the first inconvenience but easily forgivable.
The sent out a jacket which was cool (however the jacket lettering started peeling off right away so yet another annoyance)
Once I finally got my shipment the harness was wired wrong. To top it off there is ZERO INSTRUCTIONS. The action button was wired into the ignition wiring. So I spent the entire day trying to figure out why my controller would not turn on and all it ended up being was that I needed to swap the ignition with the action button. Again annoying and the fact that when you call them they don’t answer for days makes it 1000x worse.
Finally when I got the controller turning on it turns out the throttle they sent me was dead! It’s unbelievable the amount of screwups these guys made. It’s funny this company wouldn’t stand by their product, I ended up getting tech support from V from another company called Powerful Lithium just to get this stuff to work.
I finally got fed up and sent them an email telling them how displeased I was and they never responded or tried to make it right. They sent me 500 bucks worth of parts where 2 pieces were screwed up from the get go.
Further more this all happened in march, it’s now may and these guys recharged me for the same part (diff than the harness that I ordered) and apparently I’m getting the shipment tomorrow. Check the email screen shots below.
I’m going to have to figure out how I can report this as fraud. This company has terrible quality control and...
Read moreWhere do I start? Zero communication once they get your money. $500 cancellation fee. $1000 restocking fee. Every excuse is about being understaffed but they are taking trips around the country to show their bikes while costumers are waiting past the promised fulfillment date.
All this could be forgiven but then they installed the shocks backwards and didn’t properly calibrate them or test and got a flat on my first pothole. The back fender is sharp as a knife and placed in the worst possible spot. Chain guide was sticking out rubbing the tire raw. Of course they blame everyone including UPS but the device wasn’t tested properly.
Had to contact their Instagram page just to get a response from their secretary Colin who doesn’t feel black people deserve good products. He promises to send a tire and never does. Tries to blame the courier even though they clearly rushed the build in between trips to NY to ride in wagons for some odd reason (literally check their Instagram.)
Just buy a super73 and call it a day. Sheesh….
*They clearly have no respect for their ethnic costumers. Even in their reply to this post they don’t speak to me. They speak to others who might read this. Attached is a photo of the shock that doesn’t have the dial with numbers visible for calibration. I don’t know a whole lot about shocks but the other one has the dial information clearly visible. It was not installed properly and the fender wasn’t bent by the carrier. Immediately after posting this they coerced some local bipoc people to post at the same time. Reputation over authenticity. Meanwhile I still haven’t gotten clarity on my shocks and the kickstand fell apart. Which they’ll blame on someone else as well.
*Now as retaliation for this review they are refusing to get me the parts I need to make this lemon rideable. Remember there are a number of things proprietary because of the unique shape of the frame. Good luck with guys. Sheesh. $3000 straight to...
Read moreThis is a review regarding the bandit and my experience with ordering online and having my product shipped to Texas.
I backordered the bandit in June and received it with in two months. I had some concerns and questions and emailed probably once a week after the first month, just to check in and see how things were going. The interactions were always very positive. I never had to wait more than 24 hrs for a response.
The questions were related to when my bandit would be delivered and a couple technical questions. I never felt like I was being brushed off or mislead.
When delivery day arrived and I saw my package my heart sank the box was absolutely destroyed. I unpacked the bike and was pleasantly surprised to find the bike was in nearly perfect condition. The exception was a missing piece for the headlight mount. It probably came off during the shipping process. I sent pictures of my problems and the condition of the box. Spark Cycleworks shipped the piece which I received the next business day.
The only thing left to mention is the bandit. It exceeded my expectations. I have reached a max speed of 46 mph mild down hill slope and can reach 41 mph on a smooth flat road, even when the battery is almost completely drained reaching 35 mph isn't an issue. I weigh over 200lbs So I didn't expect the performance that was promised but I got more. Every thing on the bike is solid. I have two kids that I give rides and both are begging me to give them rides. The lights are all bright and visible. Pedaling gets you more range and if you want to accelerate a little quicker than the motor will allow it helps with that. I was honestly hung up on the pedals for a bit thinking they would get in the way but you really can pedal and feel the difference all the way...
