I first visited this 14 years ago and it was pretty awesome. Partly because I was a child but also because it was owned by a different entity who knew how to run and operate a business. I arrived here at noon on memorial day and the line began at the start of the railings, took about 15 minutes to get to the top. Around an hour after being at this location someone got hurt so while one life gaurd was tending to the guy they shut down the attraction for 45 minutes while all the other life gaurds (6 total) stood around doing nothing. Once they finally opened back up an Indian family of 3 jumped in front of me to get in line, which didn't really bother me intitally. After I was 1/4 the way up the rock another one of the indian family's freinds cut me along with the 1/4 of the line before them. That bothered me and to add insult to injury I noticed none of them had paid the $3 to actually stand in line in the first place. After this I started looking around and noticed 7 people (all indians who I think are usually good honest people) were in line with no wrist bands. Another frustrating thing was by this time it took about 30 minutes to get to the front and I had watched this indian family go down the ride 4 times before noticing they hadn't even paid and none of the life gaurds seemed to care at all. I definitely won't be coming back here, there are a few other things they didn't exactly do right but I think you all get...
Read moreLots of fun and I would definitely recommend. A few things to point out which I didn't see in other reviews or on their site.
We love sliding rock and have been going there for years. They do charge $1 per person or $3 for a carload, but it is worth it. There are changing rooms and bathrooms, and lifeguards during daytime hours. There is a handicap accessible overlook with benches. This may look like a small waterslide, but the pool is very deep and the water is very cold. We have had to help several small children off of the rock over the years because their parents let them try to do it alone while watching from the overlook, one small boy even slipped and busted his head open because he was too young to be on that rock alone and know the dangers. We even had one kid tell us he didnt know how to swim and was going to slide down thinking it was like a waterpark until we told him how deep it was. Please DO NOT let young children do this alone, please have an adult slide with them to help keep them from slipping on the rock and to make sure they can swim out of the pool due to the depth and ice cold water which tends to shock some people, especially kids the...
