NOT friendly as some on here said. Never say hello or thank you before or after purchases.. They allow people to solisitate & sell CRACK on foot there can be up to 5 to 20 people selling drugs in multiple cars. A gentlemen was shot & killed right at their business front door during the day. Their frozen bacon I looked at in October 15, 2018 had expired 3 month leading back to July 18, 2018. The eggs were expired over 2 months last I checked the expiration date. Packages of Butter had been damaged by water ( a lot damaged. They removed the bars of Butter from package & was selling them for $.79 each. You can buy a same item, let's say for a dollar from 1 cashier, different cashier will charge what they want & it's usually more then the other cashier even though they looked at the price tag. It's like outdated now-a-days cause everybody uses the new modern scanning systems. The city of Charleston Police Department & the surrounding residents are working relentlessly to shut this place down perminantely. People have been robbed, beaten up in the parking lot & stabbed or stupid stuff from drugs ( crack ). Check with Charleston Police Department & they will tell you all about their problems at that store location. I personal been going there for four months & heard the problems that store has had by city officials & my sister who works with City Hall. Most their shelved foods are generic off the wall name brands & they sell it for double the cost of name brand items. Based on the expired Bacon & eggs, I am certainly curtain all the food stock items are nearing expiration dates or have all ready expired.. If your will to go to this store & see for yourself, you'll know I am telling you the truth.. Hope I helped anyone with buyer beware & using extreme awareness of your surrounding at this store. All on my purchase, the recite didn't math with Matthews Market, came up with something A-1 Discout Market.. Hmmmm, that's very strange, wouldn't you think the same as I did when I noticed That? I went into this store on February 27th dude behind the counter said my total was $11 and he charged my card $311. I go back into the store 2 days later to resolve the guy working at the time tells me I gotta come. Ack later he cant fix it. This is a hole in the wall organization I would recommend never doing...
