2024 October: Still my go to store for meats. Quality is choice the same as publix, aldi, walmart, detweilers, and Walmart. Still half price as even Walmart. I can't afford protein if it wasn't for save a lot and still fill up my cart to try and keep them in buisness. This week online has no sales add so I'm worried they're closing just like the Englewood and pt charlotte location. PLEASE support this location they still sell pork shoulder @.99 a lb, t bone steak @5-something, ribeye around 6 chicken thigh & quarters under 1$ a lb, ground beef around 2.50, chicken breast around 2$. I've never seen a roach as some review said and the employees work hard if you treat them like people instead of "the help" they're really nice. They are real people too, they've cut me custom steak and checked the back before for items empty on shelves if you're not a snotty ass. I work blue collar too I get it. PLEASE don't make me a vegan. Publix sells steaks at 15-25,$ a lb, ground beef @5-12 a lb, detweilers goes @ 18$ ON SALE NY strip, chicken @5/lb!. The new costco at bulk chicken breast @3-5/lb. I also love the off brand sauces and canned items from wylwood.
After the Englewood location closed this became my go to grocery. The meat department deals draw me in and I fill up my cart with everything else to support the place. Seriously good prices on ads. This week Tbone steaks are 3.99 a lb (half what Publix has) boneless chicken breasts 1.69 (half Publix) pork shoulder .89 a lb (just crazy)... Doesn't matter your prefrence if you like shopping smart SUPPORT THIS STORE. Im a low and slow BBQ fanatic and I don't know what ill do if this location...

Other than that down side is after all the gaining popularity of generic shopping Save-a-lot is not so very "savealot-ish" anymore but still it's there for us close locals in warm mineral springs. It's them or DG across the street and that place is the absolute worst, dirtiest, empty shelves, rudest ugliest manager disrespectful unorganized inconsistent dollar general around. Especially after most of the everyday guys all left after new manager hiring. (Frank,...
Read moreNice store ~ i find their produce to be overpriced unless it's on Sale.. the meat is comparable, price-wise & quality- wise w/ other stores.. The store is clean & well- organized & the Staff is friendly.. Being your own bags (even if they're plastic) so you don't have to buy any..
You used to really be able to save a TON of money at Sav-A-Lot , I used to regularly shop at the one in Sarasota but it seems that their prices have really jumped, just like EVERYWHERE else.. I mainly like the convenience of this Store (bike-riding distance) and shopping here won't 'break the bank'!...
