I canāt say enough great things about the FREE line dancing at the Rockville Moose Lodge on Wednesday nights! Iāve been coming every week since day one. And to see how Wednesday nights have evolved from 15-20 people to a max of 150+ people is incredible! From the moment you walk in, youāre greeted with friendly faces and a relaxed, welcoming vibe from people of all ages. Whether youāre brand new to line dancing or have some experience under your belt, this is the perfect place to learn, practice, and have a great time.
Arielle, the instructor is fantasticāsuper patient, upbeat, and really good at breaking down the steps so everyone can follow along. She goes at a comfortable pace and is always happy to answer questions or go over moves again if needed. She instructs 3-4 dances in the first hour of the night and then the remaining 2 hours we hit the club lights and turn the Moose into the hottest place in Moco on a Wednesday Night! And with the people who go regularly, thereās always someone helping you catch on the dances through the rest of the night.Thereās a great mix of classic favorites and newer line dances, and the playlist keeps the energy high all night.
There is a full bar and food menu that you can enjoy while dancing the night away. The bartender, Laurie, is the best there ever was! She remembers your name and order even being a first time customer! It really makes all the difference to have that personal relationship with the customers.
What I really appreciate is the sense of community. People come here not just to dance, but to connect, laugh, and unwind. Thereās no pressure, no judgmentājust good food/drinks , good music, good people, and lots of fun. Plus, itās free, which is amazing for the quality of the experience.
If youāre looking for a fun, low-key way to get some exercise, meet new people, and learn something new, this is a hidden gem. I look forward to...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreFREE Line Dancing review. It was just Okay not worth the 30 minute drive. Ended up being a teenage hang out during the middle of the week day over 155 people in this small little hall rental room. I'm sure they were over crowded. Teens after teens showed up for some reason. Line dancing only last until 8pm. The add they post says FREE Line dancing Lessons from 7-10pm. After 8pm it turned into a teenage night club, with the lights turned off? My crowd was over 50 so we left because it wasn't what it said it was supposed to be after 8pm. They did enjoy the hour of line dancing however. Wall to wall cars and it was hard to even get out of the place. My group will not be returning sorry to say. The add needs to be changed because it's false. I was surely disappointed. Food was okay bar food (for the price). The Bartender was really nice but other than that if you are over 50 I would not recommend. I don't understand why the Rockville Moose Lodge...
