I recently purchased a truck bed liner from Xtreme Performance in North Ridgeville, hoping to enhance both the durability and aesthetics of my vehicle. However, my experience with this establishment quickly turned sour due to a series of installation issues that arose.
Upon installation, it became evident that there were significant discrepancies in the application of the truck bed liner, prompting me to reach out to the manufacturer for clarification. To my dismay, the manufacturer confirmed that the problems were indeed installation-related and advised me to return the product to Xtreme Performance for either a replacement or refund.
Expecting a straightforward resolution, I returned to Xtreme Performance with the intention of addressing the situation. However, I was met with resistance and denial from the staff, who refused to acknowledge the manufacturer’s assessment. Despite presenting them with the email correspondence outlining the faulty installation, I was denied any form of compensation or resolution.
As a member of the community and a first responder, integrity and quality service are values I hold dear. It is deeply disappointing to encounter a business that falls short in both regards. Despite numerous attempts to communicate with the owner and seek a fair resolution, I have been met with silence and indifference.
Ultimately, I have been left with no choice but to dispute the charge and seek recourse through other channels. My experience with Xtreme Performance has been fraught with frustration and disappointment, and I caution others in the community to approach them with caution.
Should anyone require evidence of the installation issues I have encountered, I am more than willing to provide documentation upon request. It is my hope that by sharing my experience, others may be spared from similar hardships when dealing with this establishment.
Edit: I’d also like to mention that during my return visit, the owner made an unprofessional remark, suggesting that I should have spent more than $300 if I wanted a better quality bed liner. He also recommended that I sell the brand new truck bed liner on eBay, contrary to the manufacturer's recommendation for a refund or replacement. This action led me to believe that they were aware of major installation issues and knew they couldn't resell the bed liner. I have also attached photos of what this faulty installation job has done to my truck bed. It now has significant scratches that are...
Read moreTalked mgr Dave to have a Flowmaster HD 50 muffler purchased and installed. Stated 4hrs. To do pipes and install. He ordered the muffler and then quoted me 5 hours worse case scenario. Technician picked up truck asked what I wanted for the tips, said to match the TRD 4" one that was on there. After 5.5 hours, I picked up my truck that had 2" motorcycle tips. On way home heard a drone that's not suppose to happen with the HD. muffler. Called Dave next day to insure the flow master HD 50 was installed, he said yes. After research found out he bought a $150 sheet metal muffler that was way smaller and cheaper then what we agreed on. He stated he was trying to save me money. After arguing with him that it wasn't and confirming from flowmaster mfg themselves it wasn't I asked them to fix it, the problem sat for 2 weeks. I finally told Dave that I would buy the right muffler they will install it for free and refund me the $150 for a muffler I didn't ask for. Here said Steve the owner would go for that and to go ahead and do that. After 5 days the muffler showed up and I took it in. Came back to get my truck and was only refunded $75. Steve the owner was in on all conversations and not only runs a misleading place, but I feel they now cheated me out of money. You don't get what you ask for at Xtreme. Go elsewhere and do your research, this place isn't worth it and the character of the owner and...
Read moreI took my car to this shop to have the breaks done (price was a little high but I gave them the benefit of the doubt due to good reviews). I was told the car would be left out when done so I could pick it up after hours. The car was not left out and I was left without a vehicle to get to work. When I came in furious the next day I was told that they would look into my check engine light problem to make up for it. They did, but then charged me anyway to epoxy a leak in the vapor canister. A few months later and my check engine light came on again. I took it back to the shop to tell them that their fix wasn't adequate. They agreed and said the part would need to be replaced now. The vapor canister is listed after market at $208 at all auto parts stores. The mechanic tried to tell me I was wrong on the price and you can't buy the part for under $300 and then told me the quote to put in this part was nearly $200 in labor!!! It's easily accessible on the bottom of the car and would take a good mechanic 20 minutes to replace. I just got it quoted by another mechanic. Total to replace the canister $283 parts and labor out the door. Nearly half the price to do the same service. Xtreme rip off. This place is trying desperately to pay for its fancy facility and overhead costs. Do not play into this...
