A FLAGSTONE PROJECTâŠDIYđ„”đ«Łđ. âHeavyâ was the word used in many sentences when we explored the idea of creating this patio. After contemplating the project many years, weâd finally ask that leading question: âHow much for purchase and delivery?â My wife added, âOh we wonât need a price on installation- we will doing this ourselvesâ. This is when âheavyâ was used in the first sentence. I gotta say, it is incomprehensible when you see the size of a mere rock. âThey are big, but canât be that heavyâ I would assumeđââïž Plus According to past experiences and projects; body mechanics and muscle- âwe got thisâ! The associates gave us all of the information we needed to accomplish our goal, (i.e. materials, parameters, solutions). They even provided other companies who could assist with delivery of what materials they did not carry. After all, we were determined enough to make the purchase that day. Prior to the delivery, I was back in to finalize the delivery instructions and strategy once more. This is when that word, âHeavyâ had come up again. We had to go over the details of where the stones would go, and then more so what equipment would be most effective. On the day of the delivery the call was received from Tim (the son) who wanted to confirm that we were ready before heâd load the stones. Shortly after, the trailer came down to stop traffic for the transaction. The two knights Tim (Father) & Tim (Son) exited the rig to introduce me to the âheavyâ load. The machine that was used to gather the stone from the trailer was not the one that was previously explained (that would carry the stones into our backyard). It was bigger! Tim explained, laughing, âDude these stones are so heavy that this machine can barely handle the loadâ. Therefore, they could only drop them in the front. I was a believer as I witnessed the skid steer (with forks) teeter a bit as he (Tim the son) drove toward the drop site. My already distressed driveway cracked crumbled in submission to weight of machine and stones. No worries for it just sealed the deal for the next project- a driveway! That night, my assumptions about the weight of the stones were shut down and redefined. After the first two smaller stones, my wife and I knew that our initial idea to carry- even lay them to roll back on a four wheeled cart was not suitable. So instead, we walked them off the pallet one at a time onto a two wheeled dolly for relocation near the project site. By far, the heaviest material I have handled. It was unbelievable the weight in such a compact size. âIngenuityâ was our finishing words. We accomplished our goal. Two pallets covered very close to 240 sq/ft. Our largest stone was about 3 1/2 inches thick; 54 inches in height; 34 inches wide. And âHEAVYâ Thank you Mariaâs for being a HUGE part of...
Read moreI placed an order in December. And the order never got tracked and it never seem to be moving. And I called them probably 10 times over a two-week period asking about the order. It was live plants and it was cold and they kept telling me to hang in there and donât worry and the plants will get there and they take a long time. I live an hour away from the store so priority mail shouldâve gotten there in one or two days. I got the plants three weeks later and they were not in great shape. So they did replace the plants at the store. I decided last week I would try again and I ordered three houseplants on March 5. They were packed and ready to be shipped On March 7. Supposedly they went to the North Royalton post office which Iâm not even sure if they made it there, but they have been stagnant since Monday, March 8. And itâs a little confusing on the tracking to see if they actually are at the post office or the post office is waiting for the package. But needless to say the package has not moved since 4 oâclock on March 8. Thatâs a week ago today. I have called several times last week, and I asked for a call back . Friday morning 1030 I sent an email explaining the situation and I still never heard back. Yesterday I called and I talk to Mitch who I believe is an owner and he told me he saw the email on Friday and they donât do anything on Saturday and Sunday so on Monday he would check into why the package wasnât moving. And it is 7:49 on Monday night. And I have not heard a word from them.Iâm not a huge customer but I spent about $80 the first time and I spent 50 this time and I went into the store a while back couple months ago in between these two purchases and spent $130. But I have to say I will not spend another penny with this store because they do not care about their customers. They take your Money and they really donât care if they produce the product for you in a timely fashion. I have a retail store and I do a lot of shipping and at Christmas I was shipping UPS at my own expense because of how slow the Postal Service was. And I was very conscientious to make sure that my packages got delivered and I still Make sure that my packages get delivered. And I most certainly would not put people off for a week two weeks or three weeks when theyâre getting live plants. I am very very disappointed in this company and itâs really a shame. So if I donât hear from somebody tomorrow Iâm going to tell them just to cancel the order and give me back my money and Iâll be...
Read moreVisited Nov. 5th and bought over $100 in plants. My best friend and I drove 45 minutes to see their greenhouse, Christmas decor and ice cream shop. There were 2 plants that I overlooked since I didnât have a phone signal and are toxic to my cats. I came yesterday on Nov. 13th to just return and or exchange them to get something else with my receipt.Their return policy is 7 days, and Nov. 13th was the 8th day I had the plants. The cashier said there was nothing she could do and made no attempt to offer an alternative to the situation. I could understand if the plants were dying or if it had been more than 1 day past the policy, but the plants were completely fine and it was only 1 day past. I work 45-60 hours a week.. they were always closed by the time I got off work. I have over 35 plants at home with a mini greenhouse and everything. Iâm a store manager, and this was just disappointing customer service. My store wouldâve returned it or at least gave store credit to take care of the customer. All I wanted was to get two other plants that were not toxic to my cats. Will not recommend to any plant group or be returning as a customer. I drove 45 minutes there and 45 minutes back. Not to mention on Nov. 5th the younger female cashier who was there in the afternoon was not friendly. My friend and I originally had a great time on Nov. 5th despite that. The gentleman on the floor helped us find a specific plant that looked healthier without us asking for help, he just recommended it. Thereâs a small area but has wide range of selection of plants. A lot of the succulents are on the floor, not receiving enough light.. They have a large area of pots which was nice. The ice cream shop connected to them had a lady who was great and the ice cream was nice too. Wouldnât recommend the garden center for...
