Ivy Tech Community College — Local services in North Township

I want to hear Chicago campus to be an electrician. I had a female instructor who told me the spinny thingy. She should have said spindle...1 at that time I knew she had no brains and not to listen to her because I didn't learn much from her. All of the equipment was broken in East Chicago and the first time I saw any working equipment was when I had to drive all the way to Valparaiso for the last semester or two for a class to be completely lost because Ivy Tech is the bottom of the barrel college that you'll probably get a scholarship or most of the classes paid for. You really should check into them because they are garbage. I'm only a couple of classes away from graduating from being an electrician and I refused to do it because I am scared to work with a high voltage with the little smart they gave me. I have had a HORRIBLE experience at this school. I started at this school to major in auto body repair, and after I got more than halfway done with my courses I needed, they cancelled two of my courses I needed to graduate, so they told me I was finished and I did my walk and everything, and then turned around and told me they would not give me my diploma until I paid for 2 tests to test out of the class which were very expensive for me at the time, especially since I was using financial aid to be able to attend school full time. Now, I still do not have my diploma and the school cannot provide me with any information about anything. The school can't even provide a working website or valid phone numbers to the right locations. I was at the East Chicago location by the way. DO NOT GO THERE-YOU WILL REGRET THE MONEY AND TIME YOU WASTED WITH THIS SCHOOL. That is THOUSANDS of dollars and YEARS of time spent and put to waste....

I've spoken with multiple people for the part 3 weeks and I'm constantly told that my student loan will post to my account in 24 hours yet their is still a good on my account in the 3rd well of classes for a degree I don't have. They don't give a reason for the hold, they have my transcripts, and still giving me the same line. The customer service is terrible! The staff I've spoken with are incompetent! Lastly, they don't care about you as long as they can charge you for classes you can't pass without books even if thru are holding your book money hostage.

Go to a real college instead of this shame of a school or at least a different campus because East Chicago doesn't know how to fix...
