ORIGINAL REVIEW (please see Update, further below): The showroom is quite good (that's what I'm giving 4 stars) but we were there for a Warehouse Clearance sale. The sale was disappointing (2 stars), partially because we didn't get anything, of course, but mostly because we discovered the promotion of the sale substantially exceeds the reality. The price on the unit we considered buying was perhaps 10% below what's available other places, but this one was "final sale" so the slightly lower price just didn't seem worth it.
UPDATE: After reading the "Response from the owner" I feel I should update my review. First of all – since Google didn't even know why I'd visited the Yale Appliance location in Norton and since the warehouse sales only happen now and then – I should have spent a bit more review space on the regular aspects of this Yale location. Like the other Yale location I frequent, the Norton showroom has an extensive array of mostly high-end appliances in well-organized displays and many of them are hooked up and running. And the salespeople seem uniformly helpful and well-informed.
Regarding the clearance sale... I find Yale's wording of it's promotion of the Warehouse Clearance as having discounts that "average 20% - 80%" non-sensical (an average is inherently NOT a range). That said, in retrospect, my saying that the sale only deserved two stars and that the discount I saw was less than 20% may have been unfair. My comment was based on comparing [a] Yale's clearance price for the ONE appliance I had any chance of buying with [b] what I believed to be the available price elsewhere. However, the promotion that was leading to price [b] MAY have ended recently, meaning that the discount Yale offered could have been better than I realized. If that's the case......
Read moreSo we close our showroom doors 15 minutes early? That is not small or family owned business practice at all. In fact it just shows you don't cater to people who work real jobs and dont sit on a sales floor. Guess big box stores will be getting my business because they are open normal hours for the working class. And people wonder why businesses like this are slowly getting shut down. I would have spent 2k right off the bat tonight in the ten minutes it took to help me and still been out before closing time. Potential for more. Pathetic really. A real family owned or small business regardless of how well they think they are doing stays open the extra minute or two. Not only do I own one but I run another. While you may have done well at one point all it takes is a few reviews like this to tank you. 2 days in a row kocked doors by 445. Youre supposed to be open till 5. That 25 minutes cost you 2k on my purchase. Thousands from others who read this review and I run a home improvement business. We buy lots of appliances. Won't be buying from here and wont be recommending customers go here either. In fact ill be...
Read moreWe can’t say enough good things about Yale Appliance. We recently built a new home and purchased all of our appliances through Yale. But even before our purchase we watched their wonderful videos on You Tube so we already had an idea of what we wanted before we walked into the showroom. Purchase, payment, delivery all went great. They were accommodating to our ever changing building situation and they are wonderful with communication. Then yesterday we had a service technician (Justin) out for a problem we were having with our dishwasher. Not only did he fix the problem but he took the time to show us what was going on and teach us things we didn’t even know. After that my husband happened to ask a question about our new stove and he jumped right in to look at that, and he made some adjustments! We are so appreciative of his knowledge and that he went above and beyond for us. We highly recommend Yale...
