I bought my Milan from this dealer (new) paid with a check back in 2009. After having it serviced a few times( mainly oil changes) I vowed NEVER to return again. That was 9 years ago. There was always something wrong with my car when I picked it up ( scratches, parts left in the car, oil marks ect.) WELL, unfortunately I had to take it in for the Takata airbag recall because it was the closest..YEP, holding true to form, my battery has died on me twice leaving me stranded. having knowledge of cars ( I worked at Ford, my brother and sister retired Ford, I married from Ford, and three brothers that are mechanics) I knew to change an airbag the battery would be disconnected. Of, course when I called Barney and the manager there assured me they DID NOT go under the hood for the battery. Then explain how my battery was fine ( new last year) and now it isn't? Explain why my clock is now the correct time and my radio stations had to be reset? I cancelled this once and should have went with my gut and just took it somewhere else!!!! I am having my personal mechanic look at the job they performed and I would hope for their sake they installed everything correctly. And yes, they tore a rubber piece of of my glove box and left it on the floor with their other discarded parts. I wouldn't take my grandchild's trike in there and I will spread word of mouth this story to anyone that will listen.. HORRIBLE...
Read moreI usually don't have issues with Don Tester as we use them to fix our vehicles but this last time we had to have service we where not pleased. My husband ran over something in the road on his way home from work and got two flat tires. THis happened the evening before we where leaving for our fall trip. We had our car towed to Don Tester on a Friday night and we called them on Monday morning to let them know what happened and the things we want done. Well they called us Monday afternoon and felt pressured to by four tires instead of the two we wanted as this is just a work car that is not driven in the winter. Along with that I wanted an estimate on something else that we wanted done and when we got home to get the bill we where charged 52.00 on the item we wanted an estimate on. I told them in the spring we would get it fixed along with the other two tires! Well we won't be getting our other tires their. We are on a fixed budget that is why we told them what we wanted done. This is the first time we where not entirely happy with...
Read moreThe work they did on the vehicle was good, however a day after getting the car back I noticed that there is a nail in a tire in the sidewall that was circled with white paint/marker. I looked at the service report and they made note of it, but didn’t bother to tell us when we picked it up, or call and let us know so we could have had it replaced while it was there. I just feel like that would be common sense, since it was already there getting worked on and they obviously saw it because they circled it, or at the very least told us when we picked it up. Instead, we were getting ready to drive it out of state at 8am the next day and that is when I saw it. With it being in the sidewall it could have blown and us or someone else could have been seriously hurt. Had to make last minute changes in vehicles and then find a place to replace it on a Sunday. On top of it all, no one ever called to tell us that the work was done and the car could be picked up and we had to call to find that out. Very disappointed. Will not be going back again for...
