line paint truck coming from other direction on rt 30 paradise township Lancaster county PA. mid day. There was no warning vehicle, and there was no where to go. maybe a mile later I made a left hand turn into Keim Chevrolet as I had an appointment. line paint is all over the side of my truck. I called penn dot who stated they sub contracted this work to Oglesby Construction. I reached out to Oglesby and was asked to obtain 2 quotes, take a ton of pictures, and fill out an incident report. Was told not to clean my truck or do anything to it. I thought the company handled it well and was professional at this point. it seemed as though they would take responsibility. I took all the time to get all this information together, including scheduling estimates appointments at two different body shops. I sent all the information back. almost a month goes by and I get a call from Hartford insurance telling me my claim is being denied at the request of Ogelsby. The reason being that I saw the line paint truck, and therefore should have known not to make a left a mile later at keim. 1st off, I'm pretty sure the paint at keim was dry because this is over spray and a convenient way for this company to dispute responsibility but even if that wasn't the case i''m sorry, but I'm not a line paint expert, and don't know how many feet it takes for line paint to dry. truth be told I assumed it was pretty quickly, why else would they being painting rt 30 (a very busy road) in the middle in wall to wall traffic like that. but I'm not sure why it's my responsibility to know the drying properties and chemistry of line paint. This is absurd to me. After seeing previous and similar complaints on BBB, I see a pattern. I would also like to add that the line paint on my vehicle has been baking in the sun for a solid month, as I was no allowed to address it while the claim was being investigated, and every day it gets a little harder to get off. PENN DOT should beware of using this company. Plan to call and lodge complaints today w/ penn dot, and anyone else that contracts with this company. as well as the BBB, and...
Read moreThe crew that responded to my request to pour and finish the concrete for my 90' driveway was excellent in every aspect of the job. They all showed up even before planned arrival time. Each member of the crew was proficient in their tasks from the foreman Kevin to the edger of the project to the broom finish on the concrete. There was a chance of rain and they were prepared with plastic covering. The foreman taught me something I did not know about curing or concrete. The price was totally fair. The attitude of the entire crew got even better by the end of the job even though I am sure they were tired. My...
