Rural King — Local services in Norwalk

Was held on hold initially waiting patiently (10 minutes exactly) to see if a certain fitting was in stock because last time I was out there it was not in stock. After 10 minutes she picked the phone back up asking what I wanted again (knowing she didn’t ask or transfer or do anything) so I told her I’m looking for a straight adapter and I literally told her which department it is. She puts me on a brief hold for another 3 minutes and says they can’t find what I’m looking for and I haven’t even told them the sizes or anything so now I know they just don’t even want to deal with it. I say no it’s a specific straight adapter specifically 3/4 “ male npt x 1 1/4 “ hose barb, she then says one minute. I’ve now been put on hold now for 14 minutes and 38 seconds more and soon will be a lot longer. I’m just looking for one part and it took close to 30 minutes of precious time to figure it out. It’s sad to see the people that work there now, they have literally no clue what they’re doing and don’t even want to help you. Now I have to drive out there and see if it’s there because they can’t communicate or even...

Very organized and clean store but I think I’ll be shopping elsewhere from here on! EVERYTIME I go into this store I’m followed around by multiple employees who ask if I need help about a dozen times! Today my boyfriend, son and i were shopping…we were immediately greeted politely by a woman asking what we’re looking for today, told her dog treats but wanted to look around some, we made our way around and was greeted by another employee as soon as we made it to the power tool isle, that employee then proceeded to kinda wonder around us….we moved on to the pet isle, where the same woman as before greater us again telling us about a dog collar we weren’t even looking at! We move on again and about 2 isles down the same woman AGAIN engaged in conversation. It was as if they thought we were stealing, which we were not! I feel as though this store takes theft wayyyy to seriously to the point where it makes customers feel uncomfortable! We were in this store probably a good 20 min! Like a kid in a candy store. I do LOVE Rural King. Chicken math (and all the other critters) has me visiting RKO a lot. The staff is wonderful and the place has most everything I need. My worst habit is that I can walk in for one thing and can then, quite easily, walk back out with at least three more (and it will usually include chicks). Oh, and their prices definitely make it easier and more fun to do! Side note... who can pass up freshly popped popcorn, at the entry way!? The thought is trying to give me any excuse to take a ride up there now, get my salted popcorn, and go peruse the clearance section, all while swearing up and down that I WILL stay away from the chicken aisles. Darn fuzz nuggets are worse than a freshly opened bag of my favorite potato chips! Five handfuls later and my guy is giving me the side eye, lol. Chicken Math, every time.
