After a year of pouring my heart and soul into planning the wedding of my dreams, with 1.5 months to go until wedding day, I woke up in a panic... WHO is going to execute my vision on the big day? Enter Kith + Kin’s Jane Ackerman & Zia Smith. The search ended when I came across Kith + Kin and discovered they’re based out of Norwich, VT, which happens to be next to my hometown. Call it fate- the universe brought us together, Jane. You stepped in to ensure our wedding was perfect. Fast forward to wedding weekend, and we find ourselves having to plan around a rainy Friday & Saturday at the Inn at Weathersfield. Jane proposed a space inside the inn with a romantic terrace/garden backdrop and three skylights that shined the most exquisite natural light. It hadn’t been done before according to the inn, but that didn't stop us. I immediately fell in love with this “backup” location, and it provided the most intimate, ethereal and loving space for us and our guests. I have no idea if any issues popped up on wedding day and that’s the way it’s supposed to be. You eased my details-oriented, organized, control-freak mind and told me to relax and enjoy the festivities, which I truly needed to hear to completely let go. Jane and her staff at Kith and Kin were amazing. They provided seamless service from our first meeting to saying goodbye at the end of our weekend event. Their service allowed the hosts and the wedding couple to not worry about the details and focus on having a great time. Everything was covered and well organized because Jane asked all the right questions up front. We provided pictures of the look and feel and she immediately understood what we envisioned. She didn't try to change anything, but offered good suggestions or alternatives for our Vermont barn wedding, which was a destination wedding for many of the guests. Jane was an instrumental component to our wedding planning process from the day we hired her!
