Kalaeloa Airport — Local services in Oʻahu

Thanks for going above and beyond! This airport is doing something right with their employees. This the first time I have encountered multiple TSA employees who act like they love their job and the people they encounter. Most of the time TSA employees look and act like they are miserable, not in Honolulu! Great job! Thanks for making our trip that much more pleasant and enjoyable. Thanks for showing your personality and humor. I can't say enough about how you stand out as the example of what I'd like to see more of. Cool little general aviation airport. Has some neat old military aircraft to climb on. An old DC-8 resides here along with a DC-6. Use to have a museum....but the state is shutting that down.

Update 14DEC24: Well, the state shut down the museum and shredded all the planes. A nice way to treat our history.

Great airport with outstanding air traffic controllers, security, fire department, and state maintenance workers. A little gem off the beaten path. Conveniently located for increased passenger service via airliners or private jet service. Great alternative to Honolulu...
