Visitamos este Parque Nacional aprovechando nuestra estancia en San Francisco, de esta forma fuimos a ver la zona de Yosemite Valley. Te quedas impresionado de ver la cantidad de lugares a visitar o de interés que se unen en este valle. En este caso Sentinel Rock, otra mole de formación granítica que la encontramos frente a las cataratas de Yosemite, en el lado sur del valle. Cuando lo observas desde bajo parece que es una roca más, pero fijándote se parece más que se encuentra encaramada como una gran lapida oscura sobre el suelo del valle. A posteriori descubres que subir a esta montaña se obtienen unas vistas panorámicas de las Cataratas y El Capitán.
