Purchased a Marantz receiver that was sold in working condition off eBay. Yeah "working" as long as it isn't used for more than an hour, after that it enters protection mode and resets, now it won't even turn on. I assume they either tried repairing some cold solder joints and/or replace some capacitors/relays and call it good!
