I was invited with a ticket to attend the Ducks Unlimited Banquet event at Keith County fair grounds in Ogallala, NE. WOW! What big turnout for this event? I would say about 300 - 400 people attended this evening. All ages from babes to active adults. A ticket for two people costs $60. This included a meal and multiple raffle tickets to win prizes. Not to mention all the sponsors who left multiple gifts on all the tables. While waiting on the food to be served, I walked around and looked at all the items listed for a silent auction. 🤫 There were so many choices from color prints of animals, outdoor gear, fishing items, hunting clothes, household items, etc. Oh my, the food is ready, and the aroma is calling me in. The menu was fairly simple, with Italian roast beef, ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, and vanilla ice cream. Not included in the ticket price were carbonated drinks, beer, and mixed drinks. The Italian roast beef had a perfect smoked flavor and cooked magnificently. The ham was so tender and juicy. Bravo to the chef who mastered this delicious meal and to the people who served the food for the evening. Now to the live auction. There were so many items to auction off. I just loved the bird calls and the people who won the bids. So much watching people have a great time and shard some laughter. All of the items were auctioned off, including some really cool shot guns and outdoor items. Last was the raffle tickets for multiple items ranging from high-end to lower end items. I won an outdoor trail camera and can't wait to use it. If you missed this event, there will be more coming. I'm eager to attend the next one. Thank you for a great night!

The Keith County Fair is a laid back and fun event. It is easy to get to, has free parking a a variety of food vendors. Be sure to bring cash as the Rodeo tickets and some vendors only take cash. The arena was clean, covered and close the action. All the events were fun and...
