Golden Spike Exhibit Hall — Local services in Ogden

By the time we got in, I was already frustrated. Some kids were stopping every car to see if we were going to a horse race. There were two points to stop, and they did so going both in and out. As we were leaving, we had to stop twice to tell them we were leaving. We were there for an antique show. The show was overpriced, but otherwise about what I would expect. The biggest problem was the lack of signage. Between the two of us, we couldn't figure out where the antique show was. We ended up on the fair grounds wandering around until we figured it out. Then we had to walk back the way we came to get to the entrance. The people taking my money were much less enthusiastic than the kids stopping me to see if I was going to the horse races. But, We got our admission paid, and they gave us a couple of wristbands to put on. Both of us were actively putting them on when we walked in the door, which seemed to be unmanned. That is, until we walked through. Security with a giant dog was there to keep people from stealing admission to the $7 event. He was serious about it, too. We weren't allowed to proceed into the show until the wristbands were on to his liking. Of course, it's awkward to do it yourself, but he watched with a grin of superiority while we did it. The event has really deteriorated over the years. It used to be 2 buildings and outside. It shouldn’t be called the Home & Garden show. No garden shops were represented, a ton of fellas handing out face cream to tighten & lift facial wrinkles! And several leaf filter sales! Even The same Day bathroom fitters don’t have ppl, they just leave business cards on a table! Total waste of...

Golden spike is a solid event center! I have been here for so many different events! My most recent was roller derby with Junction City Roller Derby! Those ladies are killer to watch! They had a really reasonably priced concession stand, some local pop-up stores, and the event was well hosted! I really enjoy the events I attend here. GO JUNCTION CITY...
