GOD AWFUL! There's not much of a selection here, the people are extremely rude, there are inmates and stray cats everywhere, and everything is way overpriced. If you are allergic to cats or pet dander avoid this place at all costs, there are literally cats everywhere. The man behind the counter was very rude to my mother and when she asked to see something in the display case he got very snippy. She asked him a question about the item she was looking at and he got belligerent and said "Do you have the internet? look it up" in a very condescending tone. I thought all they're inventory was donated, but after seeing what they were trying to charge I can only assume they pay top dollar for everything and resell it for a healthy profit. Everything in the store says "sold on ebay for: x amount", but if you look them up you'll see that it doesn't sell on ebay for anywhere near that amount, they seem to go on the highest amount the item has ever sold for (which if you're familiar with ebay you know that antiques and collectibles usually sell above retail and there are rare cases when an item will sell for way more than it's actually worth), not what it generally goes for. When I asked the man about this he snapped at me, which was the final straw. I left everything at the counter and walked out. I for one will not be shopping here in the future and I hope that the entire staff there contracts A.I.D.S. and I wish nothing but pain and misfortune on them and their...
Read moreOn 4/22 at about 12:30 I was at st Vincent in west branch with my elderly father. He was getting ready to cash out with his items and went to the register. As he walked up the cashier literally saw him and then answered her personal cell phone. I was thinking she was going to just end the call quickly and get back to her job, cashing customers out. I was wrong. She just ignored my 76 yr old father as he stood there with his things on the counter. When he made the comment that he couldn't etand for very long, she very rudley and loudly said well I guess I have to call you back since this man is so impatient. My dad and I were both offended. We usually come a couple times of month, but with treatment like that it will be a long time before we return. I asked another worker on our way out what the cashiers name was, it is Joanna. Shame on you and your lack of customer service and general lack of...
Read moreOne of the biggest problems is people not understanding the roots of the service. The shop is created for open minded friendly guest who would like to purchase a few items while helping the poor. The client service is there to receive suffering of the poor with the money avalible in the most useful ways possible. Staff is important liers, stealers, and wicked hearted staff could bring the organization to its knees. Staff should be monitored by non profit supervisors however this is expensive. I like the items in the store there always cheap enouf to buy with money from a paycheck. Sometimes the charges are wrong it's the cash register cashier this is understandable and...
