I sure wish there was a "no star" rating! I have a tiny house project I am working on. After much needed research I found Rocwool insulation and made my choose. I placed an order with Ace Hardware for my product. It would have to be an in-store pickup order seeing that I was just outside their delivery area. My order was suppose to be delivered Tuesday the 12th of January. With no email or phone call by Wednesday I was on the phone checking on the order. Knowing that things can be delayed I patiently waited. The status online kept saying order was processing, that when we received an email it would be on its way.
Four days after the order was already to be on premises for install I was calling the 800 main custo. We service number. Spoke with Michael and expressed my concerns. He at that time informed me that the order had indeed been shipped and that the guy in the wharehouse had put it on the truck yesterday. His words not mine. Well this was a slight sigh of relief, and still another frustration arose, why hadn't the order online reflected this. Where was the email that was to be sent.... So I expressed to Michael my disappointment and how this usually wasnt the case with Ace.
So the following Monday.... 6 days after my original pickup date I am on the phone asking about the order. The young lady that answered the phone was very nice.... Good thing too. When she returned to let me know that Travis (same as the name of the owner of the store) said that he knows that it was supposed to be here Tuesday and that its sitting on a pallette in the yard.
Now thatz not once... But twice... That I see where someone should've emailed, phoned or texted to inform me.
Funny thing is, after getting off the phone an email arrives only 6 minutes after the call ended stating that the order was at the Okemah store ready for pick up. 27 minutes later the Ace Hardware app notifies me as well.
So Travis and Ace get a 1 star review and only because I can't give a zero...
Read moreThis place is always on point. Customer service is great. They greet you, they're friendly and very helpful without smothering you. Being a small town the selection on some items ma6 be slim or not in store. If they don't have what you want they order and it'll be there quickly. But all in all they'll have what you need. The store is always clean, organized and its not crowded up. Employees know their product. And!! The price is comparable to other hardware stores. 2 thumbs up to Travis...
Read moreI'm not a fan of this place. Looking for a tiller last year Parks wanted $100 more than amazon with free shipping. Today I showed up looking for a Stihl chain saw and weed eater. The employees were just standing around complaining about working on Columbus day. No one was interested in helping me. I would've been in and out with both plus chain oil, a new gas can, and 2 stroke...
