There was a employee wearing a baby blue polo shirt and khaki pants today at 5:49 PM that rang my doorbell excessively and knocked on the door excessively and when I went to the door, he says that’s the only way to get someone to come to the door. I told him to leave and he argued so I told him to leave repeatedly and he wanted to argue with me. then I told him I would call the police and he says I’ve been called on all day long, so I called the police and gave a description of him and I asked for a sales license and he said he didn’t have to give that nor his name. He was on a hoverboard and eventually left. A person especially a business does not knock repeatedly and ring doorbells repeatedly then say it’s the only way to get a person to come to the door. Harassment and I can’t believe a business would ask for business and act in this manner. I took video from doorbell and photos and turned into police and neighbor Facebook group and Nextdoor group so people know how this individual and business conducted business. This was in the Fountain Grass neighborhood in Oklahoma City at 5:49 PM June 25, 2025.

I just had a person who said their name was Josiah ring my door bell and when I answered and asked who he works for, he said himself. So I asked what his last name was, and he said "when you own your own business you don't really real have to tell people stuff like that" or something and I said, "well I actually have my own business, and it's an LLC, and if I'm soliciting for my business, I would have no problem telling someone my business name." Then he got weirdly defensive, you can see him shrug his shoulders and say something like, "wow, aren't you cool" and try to sit down on my porch bench. I tell him to get off my porch and point to the no trespassing and no soliciting signs clearly posted on my front door, then he says, "yeah I saw those signs that's why I knocked so I could get away from all these bugs and this heat," or something. It was definitely the weirdest interaction I've ever had with someone who came to my front door. I had to go ask my elderly next door neighbor what the guy said the company name was so I even knew who to contact. I would not trust these people at all.

Last update first! Updated Review and Below Original

Last update April 2025 Moxie reached out after my update below and really did a great job listening to all the issues I had experienced and ultimately refunding a large portion of my service for the years they had really missed the mark. I didn’t ask for this refund, but it meant a lot to me that someone at Moxie took the time to dig into the notes and realize the poor service I had received, did what was necessary to fix it, AND hold themselves accountable for missing the mark. It took longer than necessary to get here, but huge kudos to them for where we are. This one phone call won me over and made me hopeful that service at Moxie is on its way back up.

Thanks for doing what was right! 5 star customer service with this call, 4 stars for now based on how long it took to get here.

original review Regular service is always great, friendly customer service and professional service calls.

Update I have been a loyal Moxie customer for about 8 years now I think. For the first several years I was always very happy with services provided, friendliness of technicians and the office staff. When I refinanced my home there were some issues with them getting the proper paperwork figured out with my mortgage broker, but it got done eventually.

Now, starting almost a year ago, I had my Sentricon bait station service. The technician came out and did a great job, but his findings surprised me. We had several missing bait stations and one that was buried and needed to be reinstalled. I knew that these issues had happened two years earlier when we had our pool installed, so for two years, the technicians had not found these issues. The technician also told me that someone would have to come out to fix the issues, I’m not sure why he couldn’t do it. In any event, I waited a few weeks with no calls for a scheduled service. So I called, they didn’t know what I was talking about. I scheduled a service, and no one showed up. I called again and they didn’t have a record of the scheduled service. I complained about all the issues and they gave me a nominal discount.

I had to keep on top of this issues for months and had at least two more services before the system appeared to be all installed and operational again.

I pay for the service so I don’t have to worry about termites and pests. This required micromanagement is not at all the service that I appreciated the first few years I had Moxie. If I was in the market for a pest control company, I can’t say they would be at the top of my list right now in 2025. Services around...

When I was first approached by the door to door contractor he was very persistent and pushy to treat our home, he said he had serviced both neighbors in front and in back of me and would only be here in the area today. I did not question that as they are out of OKC. He was very respectful and kind, he wanted to pray with me at the end of the "deal" even. Something seemed kind of off about it all but we have had issues with mice because we live next to a wildlife refuge. Also there was a moth infestation in our cupboard so I was really needing to get this resolved for my elderly mother's health because her breathing is bad in the fist place. We got everything scheduled and the "service expert" was scheduled to come treat the entire property the following day. When "Dallas" arrived he had a very pretentious aire about him, he even attempted to force himself into our home after knocking and as I was approaching the door. This immediately made me uncomfortable. I actually believe that is illegal. As I open the door, he is pretentious using a duster in two corners of my doorway laughing under his breath. Seriously? There was a lot of insinuation going on. He proceeded to fill his sprayer with my water hose (why his sprayer was not already full and prepared is beyond me) I asked him to start on the front and back lawn first so I could finish preparing the house. It was not long before he was rattling at the door again. I let him in to spray and he was saying comments like "this will slowly kill all the "cats" and they won't even know it", looking at my 3 month old puppy. I made sure to stay on him because at this point I was taking this seriously. As he proceeded to enter the garage, he said aloud "Oh he's perfect, we've got him" as if he were speaking to a third party. (Via radio? ) I immediately insisted he leave my home right now. I had to repeat myself a few times before he did. I am taking legal action against them and advise anyone be aware that employees like "Dallas" work for this company. I will never...

We have utilized Moxie for a few years now and never really had any problems....until now. We purchased the termite system for $1,800 about three years ago. They are supposed to come out once a year and check everything and replace the bait as needed, for an extra $300 a year. Last year we fell for this and they came out and "checked everything" but didn't replace anything. This year they wanted to come out again and "check". After initially telling them no, they agreed to lower the price to $200 and agreed they would replace all of the bait regardless of if it needed to be or not. The guy came out and said he would check everything and when asked to be sure to replace all the bait as agreed upon by the company, he said oh no we don't do that, the bait is good for 10 years. So clearly they are running a scam. Charging you almost $2000 to get the system and then $300 a year to "check everything" aka do nothing really. The guy reluctantly agreed but 10 minutes later knocked on our door and said he didn't have the equipment necessary to find our bait boxes. The same ones THEY installed. He said someone else would have to come back out to complete the service. Several weeks went by and nothing. Finally someone calls and tries to schedule a repeat service. We had enough and told them we didn't want the system anymore. They were quick to point out that their service agreement said they owned the system and would have to come remove it. While they were not so eager to provide services any other time, they certainly scheduled the removal of our system rather quicky. Bottom line, don't fall for the termite control system, it is just a money maker for them. Not too thrilled with their customer service in regular pest control services either. Probably best to shop around for another company with better...
