We recently had a highly disappointing experience with a couch purchase, which left us feeling frustrated and inconvenienced. After carefully selecting a couch from Couch+Co, we arranged to pick it up the next day to ensure we would have it before thanksgiving. However, when we picked up the couch and brought it home, we realized it was the wrong set. We picked out and purchased a sectional. We were given a sofa and love seat with the chaise base.
When I contacted the company to inform them of the mix-up, they requested video evidence as proof. While I understand the need for verification, I found it inconvenient and frankly bizarre that it didnāt seem like they believed me. Nonetheless, I complied with their request and sent them the video.
Unfortunately, their response to my situation was far from satisfactory. Instead of offering to rectify their mistake by arranging a pickup for the incorrect couch and delivering the correct one, the said because they didnāt have the actual sectional we had purchased that we could have the current (wrong) set and they would refund us $200 of our $1500 or we could have their floor model which was a very light gray and I told him multiple times we didnāt want that one because it was too light, or we could pick another set which was more money and they could MAYBE deliver it the next day after closing. What they gave us felt so cheap and was exactly what we didnāt want and was most certainly not a $1300 set, Iād say $700 MAYBE. They did not offer any assistance in retrieving the merchandise, leaving us to deal with the inconvenient task of returning the set to their premises ourselves. We finally decided on another sectional and we agreed on the price so we were to take the original set back and pick up the new one. On the way there, we decided to just return it for a full refund and be done with them. We headed straight to Mathis Brothers and picked out a couch that we LOVE.
Not only did this situation cause us significant inconvenience, but it also wasted our time and money. We had to spend additional resources on transportation to return the couch to the company's location, which was an unnecessary burden placed on our due to their error.
The lack of customer service and the company's failure to take responsibility for their mistake was deeply disappointing. It is disheartening when a company fails to stand behind the quality of their products and provide the necessary support to rectify an error on their part.
I hope that other customers will be spared from a similarly frustrating experience and that the company takes steps to improve their customer support and accountability.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe ordered a couch and ottoman on 11/03/24. Chandler told us it would be delivered in 4-5 weeks. After 6 weeks of no communication, I text Chandler to check on my order. Heās says it will be a few more weeks. After a few more weeks Chandler stops responding to my texts. Couch was finally delivered on 12/27/24, but the ottoman was not delivered. Same story with the ottoman. It still has not been delivered as of today 1/25/25.
I was charged $64.95 credit card surcharge which was not disclosed to me at the time of purchase. I saw it on the shop.com receipt.
Three months after original order, I still donāt have my complete order.
The store has a great selection of beautiful couches, and upfront sales is on mark. Follow through and communication after purchase is disappointing.
As far as the quality of the couch, it still looks good after one month. I will mention that the couch came with two different sets of feet which made the two sections different heights. Couch & Co brought the correct feet out later that day. In addition, the connectors that hold the two sections together were not lined up, thereby making them useless. The delivery person did not have the knowledge or experience to correct this, so we had to correct this ourselves.
I am pleased with the couch so far, but I will not return to this store for a future purchase, nor would I recommend to friends and family.
This is a start up family company who is trying to compete with big box stores. In my case they missed the mark.
UPDATE: 2/16/25. We still have not received the ottoman.
UPDATE: 3/9/25. The ottoman was delivered over four months after ordering and paying. I had to send numerous texts for this to happen. The ottoman was delivered with a large stain on top. The delivery person instructed me to notify Chandler, and that Chandler would have someone sent to clean it. I notified Chandler, but he has not responded after 4 days.

Then the dad kept giving us guarantees as to when our couches would arrive, when they didnāt even have them in hand. We were told Wednesday after we purchased within the week, then Saturday. Then we had to call them and ask. Because as military members we canāt just sit and wait for our stuff at home all day and not go to work. Nobody can. The woman we spoke to was the wife of the dad, very sweet woman. Then the dad contacted us again and gave us āfeel goodā info but didnāt really tell us when. THANKFULLY, Chandler finally got ahold of us. HE didnāt guarantee us any times, or dates. I personally appreciated that because weād already been lied to and basically had $100 taken from me. He told us heād let us know if any updates on the couch came about, which he did. The best part of working with this company were the guys that carried our couches upstairs and into the apartment on their backs, that was pretty fascinating.
