I have been two times and the last 2 months and I am disappointed the shows were great I am disabled and wanted to watch a movie they were showing . get there now remind you nothing is on the phone like it used to be . You could call the phone to see what was showing and what time and if it was up or down stairs. I like to know because I'm disabled. which they don't tell you none of this so I go ahead and go . the one I want to see is upstairs and there is anywhere from 10 to 15 steps so I end up going to the bottom show and seeing the movie there. okay wait a month or so go back want to see the movie ' glass ' get there once again the little kids movies on the bottom floor and upstairs is adult movie and I can't climb stairs so my sister with me and I decided to go ahead and try it so after about 30 to 40 minutes later of stopping at the each set of the stairs and resting thank goodness a chair is posted there. After stopping 3 times . I got up there and then when I got through the door there wasn't no more rails to help you get where you need to sit in the chairs . Once I finally made it to the chairs the chairs weren't even big enough to accommodate somebody 160 to 70 pounds so I was upset with that went ahead and stayed and watched the movie of course. medium glass of Coke $5 you know I can understand the prices and what keeps the show going but do combos people to buy them when tickets sell something where they can get some free drinks or something anyway do some promotions. so I see one of the young guys earlier there. that took the tickets and I told him . I was like why are you having the adult movies upstairs when everybody is older disabled and you would get more people to come to the movie if we could walk to them and see them and then I said why are you putting the kiddie movies downstairs . the kids are able to walk he said the way the camera was set up to show that picture would only show up stairs it would show the movie without skipping and the camera downstairs shows the movie skipping. well..put that bad camera on wheels and moving back and forth I mean it's easier to get a couple of young guys to carry that camera up and down stairs than it is all of us old people not coming and then you would have more money in the theater and will people be able to get to get out and come and watch the movie you know, if you want it to work out we all want to go to the movie even though the prices are high we would pay them if we can get in where we can sit down to watch them so I was really disappointed and I'll let them know that of course the young gentleman apologized over and over that ain't nothing to do with him but you know something's got to be done downstairs the new ones been built it's got the bigger chairs more area that people can sit in them once you got...
Read moreI really wanted to like this theatre!
People have said the sound was bad (I didn't have a problem with the sound). But we went and saw Man of Steel--I let them know as early as the trailers that the focus was off, but no fix for the feature. It stayed blurry.
Horribly scratched print of the feature. Slight jitter, but the scratches keep your mind off it. Loud projector. Maybe it scratched the print on an earlier run?
It looks as though the place is under slow renovation. The lobby is well-kept and pleasant. Adjusting the house lights before the feature would probably help people get to their seats more safely and show off the beautiful architecture (which is marred, IMHO, by the conversion of the balcony to a second screening room, but that was probably an economic decision).
Popcorn was too salty, though concession prices are very good. Perhaps we got the last of the batch. The staff are friendly (a pity they couldn't fix the focus).
Won free tickets to come see a show--otherwise would have asked for money back after the unfortunate quality of the print and projection. May come again, pay, see if my bad luck holds, and complain...
Read more, The seating was uncomfortable, the sounds from the other movie was too loud and was interrupting our movie, there were old timey organs which gave it a creepy feeling, the floors were extremely sticky, the women's bathroom was small with a low ceiling and small stalls that you had to shift to get in and out of, and it took a long time to fill after flushing. I had to flush before using and the next person had to flush for me. But it didnt have a musty smell and the concession prices were very affordable and the popcorn was good. Ot would be a good place to visit on halloween night or if youre looking for a night of ghost...
