Tractor Supply Co. — Local services in Old Saybrook

I have always enjoyed shopping at my local Tractor Supply store. They are typically well staffed with attentive and courteous employees. I’ve always found their inventory is as deep as it is varied. This past Friday I visited the Old Saybrook location for a needed part and I was utterly disappointed. Upon entering, two of the associates were literally laying their heads on the checkout counter and simply ignored me. I ask the location of the part I needed and was offered a wave in the general direction where I could find it. Their “directions” were wrong and I located what I needed, on my own, in the exact opposite area where the associates originally sent me. Upon checkout, the clerk made no apology for the inconvenience, nor did she even thank me for shopping there. She was simply cold, rude and inattentive: I made mention of the situation and received a blank stare in return. I did not and would not make a purchase from someone so disinterested and disassociated from proper customer service. I’ll be happy to continue patrolling my local Tractor Supply, but will never visit that location again. It is so, so easy to provide a positive customer experience and interaction and this location failed miserably. I’m hopeful some coaching or remedial training will come from this...

Probably one of my favorite places to shop if I need something I personally think it's better than home Depot prices r great they have great work clothes wide variety oof boots hats gloves. They also have live chics babies like 6 did kinds they have a huge selection of heaters and all the adapters um axes .huge animal food and assortments of any thing a good hardware store would have they also do drive up propane u can drive ur RV right up. Also have trailers u can rent flat pull behinds. Just an awesome awesome store. One of my favorite places to shop great for getting presents to those men who have everything I guarantee u will find the coolest and best presents and Thier staff is always willing to help and answers any questions u may have most r very knowledgeable so take it from me and support...

I've been shopping regularly at the Old Saybrook TS since my wife and I moved to Essex a few years ago. I don't normally write reviews but, given the consistently wonderful experience I've had here I felt I should. The staff at the Old Saybrook store are just awesome. I come in with a poor description of what I'm looking for and they are always helpful and knowledgable and help me find what I need. I think it comes down to a great team, headed up by a very engaged manager, Jeremiah, who always personally takes the time to patiently listen and then point me in the right direction. Be it supplies for my tractor, house, or even boat, I rely on this store for great value and, even more important, kind and knowledgeable staff, to keep my "stuff" working. Highly recommend you...
