As with the other 1 star review this week I was impressed by the online information and the videos from this company! I ordered new AMP and 4 speakers on April 1st and as of this review written today May 3rd, I still do not have my order in full! The original shipment was finally received on Thursday the 25th of April . I went to start the installation on the 27th and with the first step figured out real quick the wrong cord was shipped to flash the radio. Called and was told "we will get one out on Monday". Little did I know that meant shipping this replacement out on Pony Express! After spending just right at 2k and waiting over 3 weeks when told deliveries usually ship in 5 to 6 business days I thought maybe shipping this on something other than horseback might be more appropriate? Obviously this thought process was one not shared by Volunteer! The videos i thought were missing quite a bit of information on how to do stuff on the bike itself. It took several other videos not from this company to figure out multiple steps to complete the process of installing the AMP and speakers. Other steps that took way more time than I believe should have been necessary that could have been addressed better in the videos! Some of this stemmed from struggling to see how they did stuff but on my bike with a flashlight. Very frustrating to say the least. The other really frustrating part of the installation was after I finally got all the wires cleaned up (see attached photo for mature audiences only) and went to install the headlight and it would not go back into place. Volunteer did not install the AMP in the bracket correctly and the headlight was hitting the AMP itself. (photo attached) The bracket does not have a lot of options of being installed incorrectly as it can only slide up so far and there are small bolt holes on either side of the bracket that holds the AMP that have to line up with a bracket on the bike. However, the AMP placed in the in the bracket incorrectly is another story. Once you install the AMP before going much further make sure the headlight lines back up with the 4 screw holes. Taking the radio and all the connections back apart to fix this mess of theirs was just another layer of disappointment. Again a helpful point that can be easily added to the video! Don't bother sending an email for anything unless you want their auto reply. I sent multiple emails and have yet to get a reply from anything other than autoreply! If I ever get all my parts and finally have a bike back together after over a month of waiting I may add more to this review. If not, thoughts are this, if you don't have a decent amount of experience with taking a bike apart, this might not be the best option. I don't think the this process should be classified as even remotely EASY by any means. The videos make this process look so simple but IMO that is the farthest thing from the truth. Thankfully I had just enough experience to try and get this figured out. Don't plan on getting anything very quick from these folks. Its not their bike torn apart waiting for the parts! I know now there are other options to upgrade these elements but you have to dig for them a bit as this company is very good at online marketing. I will give them that! I would not purchase a system from this company again! Shame I have this much to say and still not even a final product in hand to write something good about. Look at my other reviews, I don't leave many bad ones but this one I felt was necessary for others to not make a the mistake with this company as I...

On April 1st, I placed an order through Volunteer Audio for the MAS.652HT 6.5â horn-loaded motorcycle speakers as a surprise birthday gift for my husband. Before placing the order, I tried calling the phone number listed on the website to ask if a military discount was offeredâno one answered.
So, I searched Google myself and saw that Volunteer Audio offers a 10% military discount using the code âTHANKS.â I entered the code at checkout, and it worked without issue. The order was placed and confirmed.
Shortly after, I received a call from someone named Rick. The call was very brief. I simply said, âI was just calling to see if your company offers a military discount. I went to Google and saw that you do, and I already placed my order.â Rick responded, âOkay, great,â and the call ended. At no point was there any mention of the discount being applied to a restricted item or a problem with the order.
Then, on April 4thâthree days laterâI received another call saying the order was being canceled because the discount code was not valid on that particular product. I was told the only reason it was caught was because the order was on its way to be packed and shipped. Thatâs when the discrepancy was noticed.
I asked to escalate the issue. Rick told me he was the supervisor and the manager. When I asked if he was the owner, he said noâthat the owner was the one who noticed the discount and instructed him to cancel the order.
I told Rick, âGo to Google right now and type in âDoes Volunteer Audio offer a military discount?ââ It still clearly shows the code âTHANKS.â He told me he couldnât find that result. I said, âIâm literally looking at it right now.â After our call disconnected due to a service issue, I called back multiple times and eventually got through again. Thatâs when Rick told me their IT team was now fixing the issue and the code no longer works on the speakers. I confirmed this myselfâit no longer applies.
That proves the code worked at the time I placed the order, and only afterward did the company make changes. I acted in good faith using information publicly available on Google. I donât work for Volunteer Audio, and I donât know anyone at the company. I saw a military discount listed, used it, and placed my order legitimately. Canceling the order three days later over something I had no control over is completely unacceptable.
Best of luck to anyone else placing an order, but this was my personal experienceâand I will not be returning...
Read moreMy husband and I will NEVER do business with these crooks again. My husband and I drove 8 hours there the first week of June to pick-up his V2 radio and speakers, for his 22 Streetglide. We took my 2024 saddle bag speaker lids (bought from Harley) for fitment of speakers. Jay sold me Hertz 6.5 for the fairings and 6x9 for the speakers lids that I bought from Harley. Jay said the A2B interface and the harness will be out for the 24âs in late July. Fast forward to the middle of Aug when Volunteer put out the video stating to call and pay to be one of the first 100 to be sent out the following week (which I did). Two weeks later Volunteer audio called to put a cart together. After looking up our order from June, he asked me 3 times does my husband and I have a CVO I told him ânoâ not knowing why he kept asking me. Someone next to him said she has the aftermarket lids from Harley. He then said âOh, I was wondering how you had speaker lidsâ. He then made a cart supposedly for everything that I needed to install âtheirâ equipment. When it came time to install it Volunteer DID NOT send the harness for the speaker lids. I should say before the A2B interface was shipped I called and told them not to send the Polarity tester(my husband has one already). They canceled it that day, then the very next day charged me again and shipped it out anyway. I had my husband call to get an answer as to why the harness wasnât in the cart. Rick told him it was âa misunderstandingâ and they ask for customers to check their cart prior to checking out. The only thing I wanted was them to pay for overnight or at least 2 day shipping as it should have already been here and on already instead of waiting for their pony express shipping out of products. Rick said they wouldnât pay for it. How do you double check items that you donât know whatâs needed for equipment thatâs made exclusively by them? Also, if I have to guess and double check my cart then I should guess and make the cart myself in the first place. I will pay more money and/or drive a longer distance for good customer service and establishmentâs to stand behind their service before I spend 1 red penny at Volunteer! PLEASE learn from my experience and the other recent 1 star reviews and take your hard earned money to another business that stands behind their company.Instead of Jay quoting and sending material about word of God, he should first live by it instead of being a CROOKED DEVIL in...
