Dolphin Watch Boat Tours — Local services in Orchid Island

We booked a private tour for my mom’s birthday. We were not sure about the weather on her day. The captain was so flexible with the days. Instead of Sunday we ended up going on Friday evening. The tour was magical my parents had a great time. The most amazing part of the tour was that he speaks Spanish also very funny and we all had a great time. His son Raul who is so adorable took photos of us, as well he speaks Spanish and made my parents feel great talking about his cooking skills. We didn’t expect to see dolphins but we saw dolphins on our last hour. It was beautiful to experience the beautiful sunset of fort pierce and dolphins around the boat. If I could give this 0 stars, I would. We were told over the phone by the business owner the price was $20 per person. My family and I went on the tour and didn't see a single animal (which we knew was bound to happen every now and then) but the big shocker was when the tour was over and the owner charged the family $40 for adults and $30 for children. If my family and I wanted to take a boat ride and not care to see any of the wildlife while on vacation, we could have rented a boat of our own for an entire day for a much better price than what we all had to spend today. Captain Adam was an excellent guide with over 30 years of local knowledge. Not only that, he was very accommodating to some last minute changes and special requests to ensure our experience was truly unforgettable. The kids in our group will be talking about this for a long time to come, bragging about all the dolphins and manatees they saw to their cousins who also visit Fort Pierce occasionally during the summer.
