Put in to float the Deschutes River near Sunriver. Take out at the Besson Day Use - you will need to do the car-shuffle or have some other floaters bring you back! Besson requires a day-use pass which you can get in Sunriver grocery store (and other locations) . You can continue to the Sunriver Marina - for another 1-2 hours depending on the time of day - but beware - they will likely charge you a TAKE OUT FEE that is exorbitant. This float is beautiful and calm - very different that the "urban float"...

Great place to drop in our take out from the river. You need to watch out for the tourists as most seem to only pay attention to themselves and just enter and cross the road at their leisure. They also don't realize as they do this, park in the street and jump from the bridge that it will be closed permanently if there is even one accident. We have been coming here for years, there are absolutely thousands of people that use this access every season. You would think with all the facilities we have in this state, that the State Marine Board could put in a decent access point in here for the people that spend $$$ in this area to use? Makes sense to me anyway. Wouldn't be as dangerous to use, or erode the banks of the beautiful Deschutes River with all the foot...
