As an average golfer, I recently had the pleasure of playing a round at The Links at Sleepy Ridge in Orem, Utah, and I must say, it was an enjoyable experience. The course is beautifully maintained with lush fairways and well-manicured greens that challenge you without feeling too intimidating. One of the highlights for me was the stunning view of the surrounding mountains, which adds a serene backdrop to your game. The layout of the course is thoughtful, with a mix of challenging holes and more forgiving ones, perfect for a golfer like me who’s still working on consistency. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, making sure I had everything I needed before teeing off. The practice facilities are top-notch, giving me a chance to warm up and get into the groove before heading out on the course. While some of the water hazards and bunkers did pose a challenge, they also added to the fun and strategy of the game. The clubhouse offers a comfortable spot to relax and grab a bite to eat after your round. Overall, The Links at Sleepy Ridge provides a great golfing experience for players of all skill levels, and I look forward to my next round there.

I've played this course a few times over the last few years. So, it's pretty open without much shade so get some sunscreen and a good hat. And with it kind of swampy and a lot of reedy areas it was pretty muggy. Even with a 7am tee time. There is an enterprising young girl on the front 9 in a house that butted up to the course that had a cooler, drinks, snacks and a venmo to pay her. $2 Gatorade since I forgot to stop on my rush to the course. Yes please. There are some challenging holes that you need to set up for the next shot. Not just blast it down the fairway... 1 for example requires you to set up for a chip over some reeds. 17 was a challenging par 5 where you want to set yourself up for the green... I was right next to reeds with a blind shot to the green 100yrds away... I should have just given up then and taken my max. Lol. A great course with some really great views and beautiful holes.

Course was in great shape and was a great time! Greens were super crazy ups and downs, kind of made them fun to putt(not fun for the score...). 60 bucks for 18 and driving on a Saturday. Don't come here expecting to see views of Utah lake cause there really isn't any but lots of water on the course to give your ball a bath in ;). Not gonna give it 5 stars just because the play was slow about 5 hours to play :(

Used to play here quite a bit. Whoever the new kids are in the pro shop get attitude really quick if you call with any problems. Most recently, had a tee time at 2:58 pm. Before this year (so in 2024) they were pretty good about “if you get here earlier, and someone no shows or cancels, we’ll fit you in”. Between 11:20 and 2:30 pm, I watched 8 threesomes go out without a 4th. I called the pro shop after the 3rd group, they gave the same excuse each time. I started to ask the 3some groups if they had a 4th, and the vast majority had said the 4th had canceled or wasn’t going to show up. The pro shop did not once call any of these groups in to check to see if their 4th was checking in, there was another lady who was on the waitlist that said the exact same thing I had. Not one of us had been rude, we just asked for due diligence so we could get out and go home if there were groups. I definitely understand I booked for 2:58, but if I’m on the waitlist to go sooner, as a single, with 8 threesomes going out, 4 of which after the 3rd group saying their 4th was a no show or couldn’t make it, it’s a bit ridiculous. These kids need to be customer service trained, and they need to learn the importance of double checking to see if groups are going in. Walk ons happen all the time at public courses, not an uncommon thing, but most courses will actually double check with the groups when they only have 3 on the tee, etc. I live 5 minutes away from here, but I’d rather drive 20 to Timp or Fox hollow where the service and...

One of my favorite course to golf in utah county. I have been golfing here for 10 years and some years the greens weren't in very good condition, but they have got their act together in the past 3. Summers are definitely the best time to go. I would give this course a 5 star rating, but some of the issues i have had are...

They dont really turn anyone away which makes the course extremely packed, to where you are waiting 10 mins to hit every shot. Sometimes it took 3 & 1/2 hrs to play nine because it was so slow. This may be solved if they had tough Players assistant who makes sure the pace of play is kept.

Mosquitos are terrible after 6 pm. You will get eaten alive .

This is not the fault of sleepy ridge, but it is an issue... The residents who live on the course have no respect for the golfers on the course. And i guess you cant really blame people who dont understand golf, but too many times i have seen families going for walks, fishing in the ponds, riding atvs/utvs on the course to get to the utah lake area, people letting their children play on the course/middle of the fairways. House parties/block parties with loud music that you can hear over the entire course. People not fixing ball marks on greens/not raking sand. Now this isnt meant to not make to go to sleepy, but in my experiencr, this is what i have had to deal with while golfing here.

Now lastly, i see people commenting about the high prices... Go play golf in california and see if you're complaining about...

Held our daughters wedding here and bought a wonderful package. The venue is gorgeous, large and the flowers from there are fabulous! Loved the table settings, choices of table cloths and that we could pick our caterers. My only caution, is that we were guaranteed 2 assistants that night for our dinner/reception. We only had one. She had to man the front desk and some how help us 2 floors away. I spent much of my night going down to her to get help or sending someone down. Because we only had one assistant, the set up between our dinner and reception never happened. It made the flow of the reception a mess. The video player didn't work and the girl didn't know how to work it. We had spent days putting together a video that was never shown. Then came our sparkler send off. We were given 15 sparklers. We didn't have enough to line the sidewalks as the bride and groom came out or enough for the family. Or assistant, again didn't know where to get more. Then, after the wedding, there was no follow up to see if the night went well. That was frustrating as well. I called to let them know if our frustrations, but there was no interest. Or money had been paid. This is why I'm posting this. Ask and verify EVERYTHING! Especially when you buy a package. It was my first wedding so I learned a lot. I'd use them again, but I'll get the head persons phone number so if there are problems, or wedding is not in hands of a 19 year old who...
