I've lived here for 6+ years. I love the layout of the apartments. Neighbors pretty much keep to themselves. Haven't had many problems through the years that haven't been resolved until now. The complex recently changed owners and they brought in a new Management Company, Village Green. I'm not sure who is to blame for all the changes, the new owners or the VG but I'll tell you, this last year has made it very hard for me to continue living here. The children's play area and the pseudo basket ball area was removed to accommodate a dog park. This leaves the children of the area no designated spot to play. Most of them play by the maintenance shack which, to me, seems unsafe. We even received an email telling us not to let the kids play in the dog pack, for their safety of course. They have now moved to a market rent model where all residents pay the same price, regardless of how long they've lived in the complex. My rent is scheduled to go up from 1,365 to 1,515 at renewal, with no additional upgrades or incentives. Additionally, at renewal, we will go from paying a flat rate for water (included in my 1,365) to paying a variable rate based on the usage of all the people in our building for a given month. With LR Management and the previous owners, trash on the property was collected 6 days a week. It's now being collected 3 days a week. The maintenance staff with LR used to walk the entire complex every morning to pick up trash and maintain the property.. I haven't seen that done since LR left. Needless to say... There's trash everywhere. In VG's defense, they are very short staffed. They have only one maintenance (supervisor) person for the whole complex. They had more than one.. There was a nice young man who started when VG took over. I hear, from the maintenance supervisor, that he was fired. Honestly, he was the best one they've had. Better in home presence than the current guy and he fixed all my issues with no problem. Because they only have one maintenance person, the wait to get non-emergency things fixed in your apartment has gone from less than 24 hours to at least a week. The kicker for me to decided to move somewhere else was the most recent email we've received telling us it's now our responsibility to shovel our own porches and to have a shovel and salt on hand. Another thing to mention is that they have gone through at about 4 actual property mangers. The newest one, Dustin, was here for a couple months. We had no property manager through December with a new manager starting the first of the year. If you chose to move here out of need or want, just know what you are getting into. The amenities are great and living in the actual apartment is great but the new owners and the new Management Company leave a lot to be desired at the rate we pay for rent.

This was originally a 5-star review, but that has changed. We have lived here for over a year, and had a great experience up until a couple of months ago. Garbage is everywhere. In the parking lots, the grass, and massive furniture that has been sitting by the dumpsters for months. Our view is of garbage. For a place that seems to be really on top of promoting a ā€œpeaceful and healthy environment for all residents,ā€ I find it interesting that they are allowing garbage to overflow.

My husband and I loved our stay at Waldon Lakes. Being newly weds, it was stressful getting our first place but Alex and Karen were the sweetest, most helpful people ever. They were kind and patient with all of our requests and questions. They would go out of their way to make sure we got a package in the mail or get special paperwork pulled for us. Maintenance was always quick with getting things fixed by the time we would get home from work that same day. We were persistently impressed by how well kept and clean everything was from our lawn to the pool to the parking lots. We never had a problem with our upstairs neighbors and they were very considerate whenever having guests over to remember we lived under them. A few doors down they had some noisy dogs, but they kept quiet when we slept at night. We never felt in danger and enjoyed having diversity in our complex. We would see a police car every other week or so driving around the complex just to make sure things were in order. We honestly felt like we lived in luxury and the pool only added to that. The only con I would give is that we had Rollie Pollies coming in through the wall in autumn. However, they didn't bother us horribly. It was our fault that we didn't bring it to management's attention. They disappeared when winter came. We would live there all over again if we hadn't already...

I just now had a chance to do this (first week in the apartment) and want to make sure everyone knows that this place is really nice. The staff has been extremely helpful and has gone above my exspectations. We are truly happy with our decision to reside at Waldon Lakes Apartment for all the reason listed below.

Very clean and well set up apartment (2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom/ 2nd floor) VERY pet friendly (waste bags available at all times) Staff has been WONDERFUL and very HELPFUL Made moving in pain free (with paper work, final walk thru, etc.) Maintenance has been very helpful with minor things (greased front door to cut back on squeak, turned ice maker off and added a new weather strip to front door (very helpful for keeping cold air out) and this happened within two days after I moved in. Basically the same day I called in they came out. Garbage bins are very assessable and are frequently emptied. Again can not tell you how HELPFUL the staff is and very friendly

I am sure there are more positive things about Waldon Lakes but for now I will keep it simple.

I highly recommend Waldon Lakes to anyone, any age, anytime. Trust me they will take...
