It's such a shame that a once great store with a great owner has gone so far downhill. Jerry's was great. Jerry, the owner, would bend over backward to take care of his customers. Rob's. Not so much. Lots of changes and none that I see are for the better.
We called over the weekend to get a price check before driving from bangor and buying a 100lb propane tank. The (very unprofessional) guy tells us they are $180 on the phone. We get there, and they are marked at $240. When asked, he says, "Well yeah, I was working up front, so I was just shooting from the hip." Well, thanks, dude, just make up a price then. What a waste of time for us.

I went to return this pump back to Rob‘s hardware. Lance at the desk told me he had to call his boss because it looked used and he couldn’t put it back on the shelf, I explained that he shouldn’t put it back on the shelf due to it Overheating. posted Below is the return policy. They wouldn’t return the money on my card, but gave me a store credit. He was more worried About the store being able to write it off to recoup their money, not about me losing out on mine.    Read more1ST TIME VISITOR - new to the area and was looking for a good hardware store. Stopped in for a shower head nozzle and found exactly what I was looking for. Walked through the aisles so I could gauge how much stuff they carry - wasn't disappointed. Looks to be very well-stocked with the essential hardware supplies. Noticed they had a large gardening section and that they also rent/repair yard equipment like mowers, tillers, etc. Will definitely be stopping in more often as this will most likely become my 'go-to'...
