We had been looking for a lightweight camper with a toilet for a while and happened to finally find a 2014 A Frame here. We spoke with a rep and when we asked, NUMEROUS times about if the unit had any leaks, they said that there were none. When we were able to go in person and view the unit, everything looked good except for the weather stripping around the door wasn't attached but we were assured that it would be fixed by them before we received it.
Thus began the problems.
First, when it was initially delivered, we were given no license plate or the keys to get in it, and the weather stripping that we were assured would be fixed was not. After having to contact them and waiting a couple days, we finally got the license plate and keys as well as excuses for why they didn't fix what they initially promised. Then there was a regular Florida rainstorm, and upon checking it the next day to make sure everything was good, lo and behold, there was a leak in the back right corner that soaked through the closed roof, inside the unit and soaked through the back bed/couch cushions, the wood under it, the back wall, and the floor. Upon closer inspection, you could see that with this new wetness there was previous leakage that wasn't previously visble but that they could see upon doing any sort of leak test that they claimed to have done. The water had even ran/dripped into some wires/electrical of the camper. After having to again contact them and informing them that they had not in fact done a thorough check as they said they had, they begrudgingly sent out someone pick it up and take it back to the shop to repair it, and also when asked about the weather stripping to be fixed agin since it had been promised from the beginning, I was assured it would be fixed. After at least two weeks of them keeping the camper, they finally sent it back and promised that it was "perfect". It wasn't. The new floor they installed that they said was "perfect" is cut at odd angles, the glue for the laminate is clumpy and there are some spots it's been drug across the laminate in several places. Not to mention that they never even redid the flooring underneath the sink/fridge cabinetry. Oh, and they again didn't fix the weather stripping they said they would. Also, from excessive pressure washing, they ripped off the padded strip on the roof that protects the camper from getting scratched when it's being put up and down, and they lost the unit's keys. The only reason we could get in was because they left it unlocked, but we couldn't get into the storage area. When asked what could we do without the keys and what they planned on doing about it, they said that WE had to replace the keys that THEY lost. And we were told we would have to buy the weather stripping and the padded strip on the roof ourself and they would reimburse us for it. Which is ridiculous. For supposedly being the "home of the lifetime warranty", that is false advertising since they could care less about those who buy used units.
THEN, two weeks after that we got a toll violation in the mail where the employee of theirs that was returning our camper to us after it was "fixed" ran NUMEROUS tolls with our camper! You can see that it's one of their trucks towing it. When we called to tell them, we got a secretary that said she'd let them know. That was at least five weeks ago and we've never gotten a single response. They won't return a call or email either.
This easily shows that their customer service islascking, and after you purchase from them you're on your own....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe found a unit that we fell in love with.. RJ ( Salesman ) was great to work with.. I was a pain in the butt to work with. But everytime I called him and was asking questions about the Holiday Rambler if he didn't know the answer he was always on top of it and found the right answer. Or I would ask for pictures of it. And he would always ( if not with a Customer ) run right out to the unit and take and send me pictures of what ever I was asking for. And this was over probably 2-3 month process for us.. And in July & August in south Florida.. HOT & HUMID doesn't begin to describe how bad it was. I would recommend RJ to anyone looking for a travel trailer to Class A moterhome.. You'll love working with him. Sales Manager Jamie was really great to work with as well. He was fast and fair on trade value of our Class A trade in. If I called and asked a question or for something he got answers or info to me right away. We look at different dealers as well. And when needing to talk to their sales manager we got sent to a VM and would be lucky if we got a call back. But at Giant Recreation World never got sent to his VM. If he was busy the lady answering the phone would take my name and number. And Jamie always responded in a timely manner. Financing OMG what can I say about them. Peter was great to work with Always answered questions and with our situation that man was fighting a uphill battle. Our credit was not the problem but 3 other dealers caused Peter nightmares. To explain we bought our trade in March of this year. And had problems figuring out what unit we wanted. So if I seen one I liked we did a credit app with that dealer. And with us wanting to upgrade into a better quality unit. We looked at a couple of dealers before we found the Holiday Rambler we purchased. But as Peter explained to me the other dealers shotguns my credit 75 enquiries March-August of 2023. Yes 75 so credit would get turned down before even them looking at it just because enquiries alone. But Peter did what he promised and worked his best for us. In the long run we did get Financing figured out. Peter nor I ever gave up and we got the deal done. Giant Recreation World is a class above any other dealer we showed at. From the first time we went there in February for a part for our travel trailer. To calling about an new coach starting I would say mid June and closing late August. I can say we only had one i'll call it a miscommunication. But 1 thing can't make it a bad experience. It everything from start to finish. We always had a great experience whenever I call them or driver from Georgia to walk around to look at units. We would highly recommend them to anyone for any RV needs.
Thank you Giant Recreation World. We will definitely start with them first when time to upgrade ot a bigger Coach or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am a purchaser of a new 2022 Holiday Rambler diesel pusher motor coach from this location. I wanted to start with recognizing the top notch experience from the sales and financing team. Our salesman Jay was spectacular before, during, and after the sale. He answered questions personally and made sure this was a happy experience. Dealing with Wes and Mason on the deal side never felt like a āme against themā experience. They were super helpful and accommodating when it came to warranties and explanation of purchases. They even spearheaded resolving issues with the manufacturer on our upgraded recliner purchase. Dan on parts was very efficient and over communicated status updates on additional parts needed. The team installing our blue ox met with me multiple times to explain the install and any possible concerns before they occur which helped set my expectations. One blemish in this experience was in service. If I could give 1 star for just this interaction I would. My service advisor Julie, on multiple occasions, left me desiring more. My last visit was met with rudeness (verbal argument and door closed in my face) and a lasting impression on the ability to service my coach and provide good customer service in the future. Out of the 3 occurrences, I would rate them all 1 star. I returned today after a week (scheduled delivery date) to find my coach service hasnāt been started. Iām now left to accept my service items being incomplete so I can return home 5 hours away. The previous occurrence, I was left for hours to figure things out with another service advisor since she disappeared and no one knew where she was. Thank goodness for people in service like CJ willing to pick up the load and carry through for the customer. He picked up the service requests and ran with them.
Update - 09/25/23 - I am now a repeat customer and have added a travel trailer to our camping setup. IBEX 10LHRK. This secondary purchase had some new faces but all exceeded expectations. Of course I purchased through Jay again and he made the process smooth and followed up on all of my concerns/questions. He made sure my delivery was ready on my date and all the accessories and components were included. Peter in finance was a new face but made me feel very comfortable with the signing process. Everything was explained and taken care of. I was in and out in 15 minutes. I never felt there were "hidden" items that he held back. Birdie in service was fantastic as well as Julie (things are 1000% better this time around) Birdie spent plenty of time explaining the features of the new purchase. Julie took her time to review all of our service requests on our Class A on the same day as well. Definitely went above and beyond!! Big thanks to the team at GRW! 5...
