I give it 4 stars because I love the store. I’ve lived in Kidron for the past three years and everyone there is so friendly and the prices aren’t bad. Love the fresh local meat. Would highly recommend shopping there!

Now I would give it 5 stars but honestly since the restaurant has new ownership it has been very disappointing. Kidron restaurant was absolute favorite. The food was delicious, prices were affordable, the staff was friendly and inviting. Now the staff is still the same but the food is not the same at all, higher prices for less, the food isn’t the same quality as it was before. I’ve tried their new coffee drinks on two separate occasions, first I tried a caramel frappe and it was like drinking just straight caramel. Second time I ordered a pumpkin pie flavored iced coffee, first sip was so bitter so I tried stirring and the pumpkin flavoring didn’t even taste like pumpkin it tasted like pure chemicals and honestly made me sick. Stomach pains and nausea from it. All in all, I will not be coming back to the restaurant. It saddens me that it was once a great place to eat with your family and now I want nothing to do with it. A unique local grocery store, plus work shoe and clothing and a restaurant. The grocery has what most people need to fill the normal grocery list and at reasonable prices for a standalone store.

The work shoe and clothing department has a quality selection for hard working people and also features some items the Amish wear.

The downstairs restaurant has good traditional offerings at fair prices. They do a brisk breakfast and lunch business but serves an evening menu only Thursday through Saturday. Evenings have special offerings each day.

The business has been operating for may decades and has had a few owners that have offered improvements to serve its loyal base and attract new customers. Not fancy, but fast and good, this restaurant is the place to go for a sit down meal that won't take too much of your time or your money. I got the hot ham & cheese while my friends enjoyed the pot roast over potatoes and the ham loaf. We barely had time to chat about our time at Lehman's (within walking distance) before the meals arrived at our table. The service was very friendly - and saved me from an hours long search for my keys when I inadvertently left them on the table and they searched the store and outside for me.
