To preface this, I would like to say that the atmosphere, my server and all personnel appeared happy, friendly and I have nothing but good things to say about them. This review is strictly about the food.

We went for some BBQ last week. I got the "flatbed meal" (1/3 pound portion of turkey, brisket, and pulled pork + 2 sides) and my Fiance got a 3/4 pound brisket meal. Unfortunately, this was some very lackluster barbecue food, especially for the price. All of the meats on my plate were very dry and about the same temperature leading me to believe that they were microwaved. While it is minor, my cornbread was so dry that when I went to take a bite out of it it basically exploded into crumbs and made a mess all over my shorts and the table. The brisket did not have any kind of smoke ring in it and was all a dull brown color while being the consistency of overcooked pastrami. It also was extremely dry and required a lot of barbecue sauce. The turkey I received was very flavorful but had the texture of Thanksgiving leftovers. The beans I got with my order were cold in the middle and warm on the edges, a sign of something being microwaved.

This is not the first time we have been there. Also, this is not the first time we have received presumably microwaved food. Last year we went and received similar food and I swore I would never come back. I figured that they probably had an off night and decided to try it again and was disappointed again. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this restaurant any time in the near future, which saddens me as the atmosphere and service are very very good.

$109 for two plates, an appetizer, and a beer is a fine price to pay if the food is very good. Not for microwaved anything.

I did not tell my server that the food was not good as I feel it is not her responsibility to put out quality food and I was on a time crunch.

I hope the food gets better and I'm able to try them again someday, but they will certainly be on the back burner for...

Here comes the longest review I’ll ever leave.

This is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. My family and I moved up here over two years ago and we haven’t had much opportunity to dine out, but tonight my boyfriend and I ventured to the Rusted Nut. I had met the owners some time back when they visited a bar I was tending and they were very kind, they had said I should apply at their establishment and I brushed it off as a niceness but after coming out… I wish I had looked into the opportunity further! We had no reservation. They found space for us though with a smile the whole time. So clean, well decorated, all of the serving staff was beautifully kept and kind. The kitchen staff were equally looking like they cared about their work through the window we could see them working in. The bar staff made me a drink and asked me if I liked it to make sure I was satisfied. Families were filling the floor, laughter and good vibes filled the space! The appetizer was AMAZING, the meal was EVEN BETTER. The price was great for the food and portion. We must have said a half dozen times ā€œso happy we chose to come hereā€ and we joked that we may have just peaked by visiting this restaurant. I simply cannot say enough about how great our experience was. Nothing I’ve seen since moving up here compares, hands...

I hate to give it one star but we didn't even get the chance to try the food.

Tuesday 5/25 we called ahead and asked if we needed reservations... "For tonight? Oh no you'll be fine- just you, your husband and 2 kids? No stop on by".

We arrived after a 20ish minute drive and noticed the parking lot about half full.... went in and waited at the door and we were never even acknowledged. There was someone in front of us that waited too, after about 10 minutes the waitress came by, asked if they had reservations and said if not there was a wait but they could sit outside.... looked at us and went on to her next table. Not even a single word uttered.. It was busy but the place wasn't packed and we waited for over 20 minutes before deciding it best to leave.

For what appeared to be a pretty average night I would not recommend going here on the weekend... if at all.

Even some good customer service... like "hey, be right with you, thanks for coming, sorry we are a bit busier than expected"... nothing.Ā  The building and decor seemed nice.... but if you can't eat the food what's the point? And your other options in the area are limited when your hungry and this place is a complete flop....

This was our first time stopping in from a referral of a friend. We live about 40 minutes north. We’re thankful we showed up early before a dinner rush. This place takes reservations, and we suggest you make one before heading there. The food was delicious. We had the pretzels, bbq Mac n cheese and bbq pizza. Everything was amazing we’ll be sure to come back to try the prime rib. The drinks were good, we had their strawberry sour. Clean and lots of flavor. I did try a taste of the pumpkin but ultimately passed, as it wasn’t my favorite (something was off about the taste). We were greeted by a friend that said we couldn’t leave without trying the apple cider slushie with whip cream. And they were right. It was to die for. Service was fast, sweet, and knowledge, well run establishment and you can tell management and owners truly care about esthetic and atmosphere. A place not to be slept on. We can’t wait to come back and bring our friends!

After hearing about the place for the last 18 months, we finally decided to check it out on a night with live music. The atmosphere, decor, patio, and surroundings were great, staff seemed friendly ENOUGH, but being from Texas it's not exactly southern hospitality, but close enough I guess. The food, well probably microwaved, the mac and cheese was grainy, the corn bread was dry and crumbled and barely warm. Drinks were the only thing great. We got the long bed plus aunduille and all the meat was dry except the brisket which was mostly fat. The sauces were, well different, interesting, not bbq or smokey as I would have expected. Over 100$ for sharing the platter and 3 drinks each, 40 for that platter with dry meat, I won't do that again, but their social media shows some juicy food on point, not that in reality. And the dishwasher was vaping in the kitchen... is that allowed?
