Family Fare Supermarket — Local services in Oscoda Township

Good for quick stops. I usually use the self check out here and love that I can use Google Pay. However, their prices are very high. I would love to support this store more, but the prices prohibit that. It is an older building and definitely looks it inside and rates much lower on the cleanness side of things. Recently it smells like a septic tank that's overflowing(but they should have city sewer ?). Their weekly ad will sometimes have sales that are comparable to Walmart's regular prices but I'm not one to go to different stores to only pick up a sale items even though I should. You do need to use their loyalty card to get sale prices and you must buy exact amounts stated to get the sale price like 5 for 5 sales. Lastly, you do need to check expiration dates. It has been a little better since Covid due to supply chains issues, but now that we are a few years since then you need to check...

Like there quality of meats they run alot of good sales like there frozen french fries and tatter tots because I use a air fryer and there store brand name is alot cheaper then the national brand sign up for the YES card and you get even a better deals for example if you purchase $100.00 worth of baby products from diapers to baby formula to whipes you will get $10.00 back on a gift card and yes they will honor manufacturer coupons . Along with that Idea if you purchase $100.00 worth of dog food you will receive a $5.00 gift card and like I said they will honor your manufacturer coupon and not only all that they once a week will send you emails of additional savings and also have in your computer or hand held phone apps I use mine all the time . It makes shopping easier . The people at the family fare are very nice people especially the Standish Michigan store...

I love this place!! Nice , clean well stocked with great selection Of fresh produce, fresh breads , yummy donuts and a great deli. Everyone working there I have met has been so nice and welcoming. Always smiling. The young Lady that works in the deli I would give 10 Star's to!! I've shopped for over 4 decades in every major grocery market. She is the first to say , I m happy to help you. I need to "Clean" the meat slicer. Please give me just a minute to do so . That absolutely made my day!! (cross contamination in a Huge No,no) Most are to lazy to do it. I could tell she cares, was well educated and trained right. And take her job seriously. And hard working! Give that girl a raise!! She deserves it!!
