Only 300 steps and you’re there” … at one of my favorite photo locations! 📸 Almost a 200 foot vertical, these stairs will lead you to a series of boardwalks, natural springs, & beautiful views of the AuSable River. As you enjoy the Huron National Forest, imagine lumbermen rolling logs down the hills & floating them down the river! Ready for the adventure? Share this hidden gem with your fav adventure buddies! 🥾 If you visit please respect Mother Nature #michigan #oscoda #tawas #michiganphotographer #puremichigan @puremichigan @tawastravelguide @oscodanaturally

Yes, there are almost 300 steps, but once you get down to ground level, there are sections in all directions to be able to see and small sections go up and down. The climb up is difficult, but there are benches, and you can just pull over to the side of the set to rest. The climb up is Definitely So Worth the Views!! It's amazing how much water can flow just from the ground. Some of the springs has been built up so there are a couple mini falls that looks like to help contain the water. I saw a saying that is so true for this place: stop and listen the music is all around you.

Iargo Springs is a true hidden gem and a must-see for anyone visiting the Au Sable River area. This place is pure magic. As you descend the long staircase, the sounds of the rushing springs and the cool, damp air immediately transport you to another world. The wooden boardwalks and bridges are so well-maintained, weaving you through lush ferns and over the bubbling, crystal-clear water. It's a breathtaking reward at the bottom—the springs themselves are mesmerizing, and the view out over the Au Sable River is absolutely stunning. Yes, the climb back up is a workout (those 300+ steps are no joke!), but there are benches along the way to rest and soak in the peaceful surroundings. Iargo Springs feels like a sacred, ancient place, and you can understand why it's so special to so many people. We spent a good hour exploring and just enjoying the tranquility. It's a perfect combination of a physical challenge and a spiritual retreat....

Loved this place! 300 stairs down and 300 stairs back up, but... there are resting points with benches if you find yourself out of breath. The sounds of the springs here there and everywhere was divine. It was fun to read about the trees and such on the fact stands placed throughout... I am a geek for that. I saw some younger kids having a blast wading in the COLD water. The boardwalks expand our to different lookouts. One led to a place people were using as a Wishing Well point. I found it entertaining going up and finding owl eyes and dragonflies in the wooden...
