The wooden boardwalks and bridges are so well-maintained, weaving you through lush ferns and over the bubbling, crystal-clear water. It's a breathtaking reward at the bottom—the springs themselves are mesmerizing, and the view out over the Au Sable River is absolutely stunning. Yes, the climb back up is a workout (those 300+ steps are no joke!), but there are benches along the way to rest and soak in the peaceful surroundings. Read moreYes, there are almost 300 steps, but once you get down to ground level, there are sections in all directions to be able to see and small sections go up and down. The climb up is difficult, but there are benches, and you can just pull over to the side of the set to rest. The climb up is Definitely So Worth the Views!! The sounds of the springs here there and everywhere was divine. It was fun to read about the trees and such on the fact stands placed throughout... I am a geek for that. I saw some younger kids having a blast wading in the COLD water. The boardwalks expand our to different lookouts. One led to a place people were using as a Wishing Well point. I found it entertaining going up and finding owl eyes and dragonflies in the wooden...
