Dollar General — Local services in Oskaloosa

This store is a “go to first” store because of its reliability… but not anymore. Kansas is in a state or emergency and Perry was covered in almost 14 inches of snow in a recent blizzard. People were needing to go to dollar general in order to feed their family in these harsh times. However two days after the massive blizzard dollar general closed three hours early leaving the town of Perry with no where safe to get groceries. The only way to get groceries would be to brave the icy roads and drive to Topeka or Lawrence. The reason for closing early is still not clear however if you are going to close early… plow the snow out of your parking lot there is still at least 5 inches of snow covering the steep hill to get out of the parking lot… this dollar general has gone down hill since new management…...

Its nice small town so friendly people. Prices are same as any other DG. Only reason i am giving a 3 start review instead of 5. Is nobody there knows how to answer the dang phone!!! Ive been calling for an hour. Finally it picked up and made some loud weird sound. Now its back to busy....

It is so nice having a Dollar general out here by the lake. Soany times you have to drive back in to Topeka or go to Lawrence for simple stuff. Dollar general has a friendly staff and can usually find exactly what you need without the hassle. Store is clean and...
