Ossipee Food Market is a small family-owned local grocery store located at the Indian Mound Shopping Center which has just opened in August 2025. This store used to be called ValuLand and has been through several owners over the past few years with very mixed results. My wife and I visited Ossipee Food Market last week and can say that the entire location has been thoroughly stripped and cleaned from top to bottom, all products are new stock and several updates have been made to the store itself such as new flooring, display cases, updated POS (that now accepts contactless payments, like Apple/GooglePay) and they’re in the process of having a few self checkouts installed even. Are the prices a bit higher than Hannaford? For some items, yes of course, but folks this is a locally-operated small business that doesn’t have the bulk-buying power of Delhaize or Walmart. I highly suggest all locals swing by and have a look and give the new owners a chance with their opening. So far, I am impressed compared to past visits under past management. Keep up the great work guys and build a good reputation! This town needs more solid small businesses and another option besides Hannaford’s...
