Our recent escape to the Harbor Master Villa was nothing short of enchanting! If you're on the hunt for a dreamy spot for a romantic retreat, this place ticks all the boxes.
To start, the location is a hidden gem, nestled snugly in the quaint south side neighborhood of The VILLAS at Heron's Landing. Here, you get to experience the perfect blend of serenity and adventure. The view from the back porch, overlooking the Harbor, was a mesmerizing canvas, especially during those breathtaking moments at sunrise and sunset.
The first thing that struck us was how meticulously clean and well-kept the house was. The kitchen was impressively equipped, boasting top-notch appliances including a Keurig coffee maker, toaster, and all the kitchen gear one could need. All we had to do was bring our groceries, and we cooked up our favorite meals.
The bedroom was an absolute haven, featuring a cozy queen-size bed and an additional flat-screen TV for those lazy mornings. Each day, we relished our coffee on the covered porch, soaking up the serene atmosphere. It was the perfect spot for simply savoring the tranquility.
But what truly made our stay exceptional were the wonderful neighbors we had the pleasure of meeting. Their warmth and friendliness added an extra layer of charm to the whole experience, making us feel like we were part of a tight-knit community.
The only downside? We couldn't help but envy our fellow guests who had their furry companions with them. For our next visit, we're already contemplating one of the cottages that welcome pets.
In summary, our time at the Harbor Master Villa was a memory etched in our hearts. The immaculate and cozy accommodations, the genuine camaraderie of our neighbors, and those awe-inspiring views made our romantic getaway truly special. We're already eagerly anticipating our next visit to this delightful haven. Thanks for providing us with the...

This was incredibly loud and created huge dust clouds, which made the balcony unusable. When we realized this upon arrival on August 17th we notified the office and were told that Heritage Harbor did not know about the construction at the time of our booking, which was July 27th, and all that could be done was a $25 gift certificate to the restaurant but that a manager would be contacted to see if anything else could be done. A manager did not get back to me, however. I finally reached the manager the following afternoon after an email, two messages, and repeated calls. The manager did find another unit that we could move to for our second night. I appreciated being moved and the gift card but the first day of my 2-day getaway was ruined by the extreme noise, dust, and chaos of the construction going on next door. The construction was well under way so it had to have been ongoing for at least a few days before my arrival. Heritage Harbor should notify guests about construction adjacent to their booked units and give guests the opportunity to book another unit or cancel if they wish. I would have given a 5 star review but because my first day was so unpleasant, I can only give 2 stars. I recommend that guests confirm before booking that construction is not going on near their units to avoid the issues we had. We had a pleasant stay with Heritage Harbor last October so I hope this is just...
Read moreWhile we did have a nice stay at Harbor Inn, there were a few things that could have been better. First, we never received the rental agreement, parking agreement or pool waiver until the second day of our stay, and then had to request them twice. The pool key was not in our room, and we also had to request that. The internet never worked our whole stay. We called about it and the repair man came as we were packing up to leave. In the description of what what would be in our cottage, they said that there would be 2 rolls of toilet paper. When we arrived there was 1/2 of a roll and no extras. Also, I found it strange that there is not dish soap included. Since there were only 3 spoons in our unit, I did not want to run the dishwasher to wash only the 3 spoons and a few glasses each day. The beds only had sheets and a light bedspread on them. I was very glad that I had an extra blanket in the car. Good thing it was warm during our stay. Lastly, there is a window in the bathroom of the unit where we stayed. The building are so close together that I could see into the window of the unit in back of ours. If I could see in theirs, they could see in ours. The window does not have any blinds that could be closed. Normally, this would be OK in a regular neighborhood, but where the units are so close together, window placement should...
