DG Market — Local services in Owingsville

Dollar General, since you can't afford to pay cashiers to ring up folks' purchases and thus require customers to ring up their own items - then don't have your associates standing on top of me making sure I'm scanning everything!

If they can stand and watch me ring up items, then they can ring up my items for me. Furthermore, if you trust me well enough to require that I ring up my items, you shouldn't need an associate standing at the self checkout making sure I'm ringing up everything.

We had that experience in Owingsville yesterday. I didn't get mad at the associate. They are just doing as they are told. But it makes me mad that the company refuses to pay cashiers to ring up items, but then has the same associates standing right beside you at the self check out making sure you scan everything. Updated Review: Yeh the prices are still wrong and we'll, their refrigerator is always broke? For a store that's hasn't been open long, who ever was contracted to build it did a horrible job. Aside from their fridges always being down and the prices never being right the roof is always leaking. However, I'll bump my review up a star because they do have some really great and friendly staff members and it isn't their fault that there is always these issues.

Previous Review: Every single time I go to the store here they charge an EXTRA $1.50 or more that the price. I'm on my 5th receipt and again every single thing that was rang up is WAY higher than the prices listed.

I stopped in at 9:45 on 6/3 to grab some ice cream and as I was looking for another item the plus sized lady in glasses very rudely yelled at me that it was near time to close , very rude and also as I informed her she should use the stores intercom to announce the store closing she blamed her store manager for not giving her access to it along with blaming the manager for items not being stocked on shelves , the day shift staff here are great people along with the young man who occasionally works nights , I will avoid this place at night if possible nobody needs to be that angry at work , nobody is bothering to stock the shelves here , and with all the idle time the 2nd shift employees use up at least one...
