BUYER BEWARE...In the past, I have never had an issue with this establishment and was very well pleased with the products I bought....mainly FRESH oxtail. No reason or desire to complain and have sent numerous people to this establishment. However, today I purchased oxtail, a few dollars short of $80. One piece showed signs of illness (looks like a tumor) which was impossible to remove and was a throw away piece. However, I then looked closer at the other pieces (after soaking in water/vinegar to clean for a short period of time) small boils started forming on the bone, top and bottom, of the entire package. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED IN THE PAST4 YEARS I'VE BEEN PURCHASING OXTAIL FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I checked my receipt to find out, returns are expected to be in the original packaging and for meats, dairy, must be returned in 8 ( yes, EIGHT) HOURS. NOT DAYS from original purchase time to receive a refund. Unfortunately, I have 10 minutes left to return, though I live at least 25 minutes away. NOTE: IMMEDIATELY CHECK YOUR MEAT PODUCTS. If the business that is selling it to you will only commit to an 8 hour guarantee, makes you question the safety and freshness of the products. Once upon a time, in America, when you were sold deficient product, the merchant, with a receipt, would happily return your money or replace the product, no questions asked. We in America have accepted the rules of other nations (No Refunds, No exchange) which allows them to, at their discretion, sell you garbage and neglect the rules of USA Customer Service......and...
Read moreThis is your typical Korean run supermarket in an predominantly poor black neighborhood. It stinks from the time you walk into the store until the time you are mercifully able to get to fresh air. It stinks because I suspect during closing hours they turn the cooling system up to save conserve energy and save money instead of turning the system down lower temperatures. Of course Korean pricing is in effect charging more that local supermarkets for the exact same items! It's peculiar how in an predominantly black neighborhood you have only 1 token black working there of course no where near the cash. The vast majority of the employees are Hispanics what ever that term truly means. This is what happens when you allow floods of Mexicans and others to infest your neighborhood. The prices rise the service declines and the Koreans go out of their way to give employment opportunities to any and everyone except blacks in the community that by in large support their business with WIC, Food stamps etc. I only wonder when if ever we as black people will ever wake the hell up about our own communities who comes into them gets fat off of us and leaves us with stinking smelling stores with high prices while they live the good life in...
Read moreI am beyond disappointed with Jumbos right now. I am a Healthcare worker during COVID-19 and was turned away from getting groceries this Evening in order to provide for MYSELF. I was turned away for having Crocs on! My work shoes, literally, I finally get a day off of work and I get turned away for having my work shoes on. I called to speak to Managment around 5:17 PM EST and was told to callback because the individual who answered the phone stated that he didn't know the store was doing that. I called back at 5:30 PM EST and spoke with a Manager that stated that they ARE letting people in with Crocs, ESPECIALLY Healthcare workers due to our situation during COVID-19. The Manager was nice and apologized for what happened. I advised that the Security Guard or Police Officer be reinforced of the rules so therefore another frontline employee doesn't have to go through what I did for absolutely no reason at all. I'm so angry and hurt because here it is I'm assisting others through this pandemic and caring for their health and I get turned away whenever trying to care for MINE. I have to eat too and I'm just glad other grocery stores are not doing this to frontline workers. It's not a good...
