Pacific Coast Candy — Local services in Pacific City

Did our 1rst post-Covid drive down to the coast, after getting our Shots, spoiled ourselves by stopping in Pacific City and made a leisurely stop at the new Candy Store in the Village Shop area. The first thing I notice is the wonderful color scheme, the tealish/seafoam color was wonderful and inviting, not to mention the smell of freshly made waffle cones. There were great retro candy's striking a warm fun area of our childhoods and young teen years, along with lots of choices of salt water taffy options (John and Leslie, the owners, even invite you to sample if you are curious about a flavor) and super delicious Chocolates in the chocolate case (I understand both are made in Oregon), not to mention made daily Waffle cones with Tillamook Ice Cream, which we enjoyed out on the picnic tables.

Oh yes and the bulk candy prices can't be beat, a great bargain for sure (last time I was in a mall candy store in Portland it was at least 25-30% more I think).

Definitely a 5...

This confectionery has everything one can imagine! From the latest and greatest to the old and perfected. For those of us who enjoyed candy a few decades ago, the names and brands are all on for sale here - even the ones we may not have seen for a long while. I even found Uno bars! There is also fudge and various chocolate confections. Hey, I also found War Head sour sodas in a cooler! They are fantastic! One can purchase individual candies, bars, drinks, etc., and/or one can purchase candy by the pound. It's an amazing store in a small town. I like this place. I love seeing high quality small businesses opening in Pacific City, and this store is well done. Their selection is almost astounding, with nothing but candy or other sweet treats to bleed your wallet.😘That brings me to the only blemish, in my opinion, and why it only gets 4 stars. The prices are a little high, and tbh it has made me second guess my want to visit this store.
