One Must See Lower Antelope Canyon in the USA!!! Such A Beautiful Place.

This is one of the most beautiful places I have visited in the USA. This is also a great spot for photographers. Every photo captured can be used as a beautiful wallpaper.

But this place requires guided tours and we must book in advance as the tickets are sold faster. We have booked this before 2 weeks of travel. The tour guides are expensive but this place is worth every penny. During monsoon this will be closed so better to visit this place in winter as there won't be fear of cancelling trips.

These Canyon are naturally formed due to the flash floods. During the rain this place is closed for our safety since there will be a high risk of flash flooding and people will be stuck here. We were lucky to see both lower and upper antelope canyon and both places were spectacular. This place begins with the going down with the steep ladders. Then we go through straight path and there were small steps to climb up. This requires total 1 hour of walking. Then there will be narrow paths in between and that will be amazing experience. Then we climb up. We captured many photos. Morning time is perfect to visit the canyon.

The main difference in the lower antelope and upper is the lower antelope is V shaped and it is adventurous like going down about 70 feet, walking in the narrow path whereas upper antelope canyon is upside down V shaped and it has broader paths to walk and it is also spectacular. The upper antelope is darker than the lower and the best suitable time to visit the upper canyon is between 11 and 1 pm as we can see the light beam entering the inside the canyon.

Bring your camera to capture the photos and water bottle to keep yourself hydrated. Selfie sticks are...

We did the Lower Antelope Canyon with my family and all really enjoyed it. That being said, this is a very touristic, strict and place made for profit.

What I liked: the canyon is incredible and walking through it is a magical moment. The formation and colours are going to take your breath away.

What I didn't like: I wish they allowed a bit more time and less people within the canyon at once as it is incredibly crowded and you're on a schedule once in the canyon. It's hard to get a picture with anyone else in it. And guides constantly remind you to keep moving.

The facilities also are not the best. The new centre built during covid to welcome people is a blessing with air-conditioning, I can't imagine what it was like before! But they have construction-like toilet blocks outside in the parking area, that's quite a contrast.

In some ways, I'm happy that I've done it as it's really something to experience but at the same time I find it relatively expensive given the actual experience you get (if I compare it to the many other experiences I've done in the past). I feel the "for profit" part of the activity is taking over the "incredible experience" you could get in a...

So happy to finally check this off my list of “have to see” places. Although I think out of one of those sites that never gets old, no matter how often you go.

We had a lovely guided tour through the Canyon and really enjoyed the high vibrational energy of this sacred space.

If going in late December, like we did, I would recommend bringing a medium/ heavy weight jacket, a hat, and gloves. As it gets really cold down there in the shade.

What more can I say, nature is amazing!🤩

Things to mention: there are about 4-6 areas with stairs (if you consider two to three small step areas stairs). The first set of stairs into the canton does have a section where you need to go down backwards or sideways (do it backwards for sure). The terrain itself is easy but you may need to turn your body or angle your head a certain way in very few places.

If you have mobility issues that prevent you from altering your movements then I would not recommend going into the canyon.

If your mobility issues are just that of a slow, cautious turtle then you...

Beneath this ordinary-looking crack in the earth near Page, Arizona lies an extraordinary underworld of twists and turns and glowing orange sandstone walls: Lower Antelope Canyon. Located on the Navajo Nation, this slot canyon can only be explored as part of a Navajo-led tour. Things to know: Tickets cost $55 (adults) for a 60-minute tour. Reserve your tickets online ahead of time. Both tour companies, Ken’s and Dixie’s, offer the same tour. Entry into the canyon requires a steep descent on a metal staircase. You’ll have to climb short ladders throughout the canyon. You’ll be walking on sand and through tight places. Backpacks, purses and tripods are not allowed. Total walking distance is just over one mile. The Navajo mask mandate has been lifted and masks are no longer required. Don’t miss this amazing experience on your next visit to Northern Arizona. We’ve done a few other remarkable Navajo slot canyon tours in the vicinity: Upper Antelope Canyon and Canyon X.

We’ve been asked frequently which of Arizona’s Antelope Canyon tours is the best. We think they’re all spectacular, but our favorite is Lower Antelope Canyon because the ladders and different underground levels make it seem like more of an adventure. There are two Navajo tour companies situated near the entrance to Lower Antelope Canyon: Ken’s and Dixie’s. We’ve done tours with both and found them to be very similar. (And outstanding.) Be sure to book your tour ahead of time, as they do sell out. Located near Page, Arizona, Lower Antelope Canyon tours are 1– 1.5-hours, and you’ll walk roughly 1.1-mile round trip, descending down five flights on a steep staircase. Make exploring with the family easier by booking a tour with Grand Canyon Adventures! [h.osted] They have multiple options from Flagstaff, including the Grand Canyon itself, Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon, Sedona, the 3 National Monuments around Flagstaff, and more. All are led by friendly and knowledgeable tour guides, with entry fees and lunch included (if applicable). We took the day trip to Page tour a few months ago, and can I just say, as the main travel planner in the family, it was amazing to not have to worry about a thing! I didn’t have to pack a lunch or snacks or drinks, I didn’t have to sign up for a time slot at Antelope Canyon, and I didn’t have to drive the 4 hours to/from Page. Our guide, Scott, took care of it all! He was fantastic with the kids and had so much amazing information about the area. Our day included 5 stops, including an extra restroom/snack stop enroute home: 🏜️Cameron Trading Post (amazing gifts at this historical spot) 🏜️Horseshoe Bend (we had an hour of just us to walk to the overlook and soak up the views) 🏜️Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (lunch was here, and the visitor’s center was very hands on for the kids) 🏜️ Lower Antelope Canyon (yes, this beautiful spot is kid friendly, and all prearranged by Scott ahead of time) Our van was comfortable, the car seat fit perfectly, and there were even USB ports for charging. We left Flagstaff around 8am, and returned around 5pm, right on schedule.
